That response contrasts with a signed 2025 questionnaire submitted to the Stonewall Democrats of Austin, in which Talarico’s campaign wrote that “if elected, Rep. Talarico would sponsor the Equality Act in the U.S. Senate.” He also answered “Yes” when asked by the Communications Workers of America if he would support the bill.

And the alternative is a piece of shit criminal who kills people and gets off on hurting others. Still not a hard choice.

I vote third party, but I’d still vote for this dude over the dude he’s running against. De facto third party still counts as third party for me.

After the paper published its initial article, a campaign spokesperson said Talarico “stands by his support for the Equality Act as listed on the questionnaire.”

Seems like the facts evolved beyond what the headline’s saying here, but it’s still a pretty bad look that his campaign had to be reminded he’d already made a commitment on this one (like, maybe a staffer got asked this and didn’t have perfect information, but why was it even a question?)

Right? Talerico might be the opposite side of the coin as Paxton, but it’s still the same Christian bullshit.

First he lets them come for the trans, because god said “trans r bad, k”, and then he lets them come for…
