I don’t know what message they think they’re sending live streaming shooting a dude in a wheel chair.
It will 100% radicalize people against the US the world over. Moreso.
They want violence because in violent times people get xenophobic and turn to right wing hawks for solutions. My bet is they are hoping to incite a reprisal before midterms.
That’s probably the plan. Gotta keep the war machine going indefinitely.
I have to wonder who shooting this guy will radicalized that wasn’t already by the other people this administration have shot in public on film for us already
It’s affecting their image for the upcoming midterms, it has nothing to do with morals, they just don’t want to deal with the fallout because surprisingly there are less people that want to see a live execution than they expected.
Hm, are these “concerns” moral, or are they just about how this may affect Republican turnout?
Yeah, we’ll see. They might grumble their objections right now, because they’re not sure how folks are going to respond…but once they see the reaction from their bloodthirsty voters, they’ll all be cheering for more.
I think they’re sqeamish about watching it, hearing it, like the person who orders a hit but doesn’t want to see or hear it.
But will those concerns turn into anything actionable?

I didn’t realize before now that he is paralyzed from the waist down and is in a wheelchair. Public execution is already monstrous enough; are they planning to shoot him while he sits in the wheel chair or prop him up? Fucking A. I don’t have words for this.

But yeah, livestreaming our government murdering this guy via firing squad while he’s in a wheelchair (or propped up) just seems like it is designed to make this country look like a complete third-world authoritarian shithole AND act as a terrorist recruiting tool.

It will only resonate with people that are already on their knees for him. I highly doubt it’s going to bring anyone into the fold and has more potential to push potential voters away.
