So just are reminder that major Jewish Democrats are fund raising and donating for Rogers and there’s a very vocal “Democrats for Rogers” going on there.

Some local Black activists also faulted El-Sayed, who if elected would be the first Muslim senator, for supporting the “uncommitted” campaign in the 2024 Democratic presidential primary. Some Black Michigan Democrats believe the effort, aimed at pressuring the Biden administration over Gaza, cost then-Vice President Kamala Harris in her campaign as the first Black woman to be a major party presidential nominee. Trump beat Harris by 1.4 percentage points in the state.

…oooookkkkk? So that means you vote for the Republican Senator now? The logic isn’t logicing there friendos…

They’re supposedly upset he supported a movement to not Vote Blue No Matter Who, during the primary, so they’re refusing to Vote Blue No Matter Who, during the general and for no reason whatsoever. There isn’t even an ask involved. Uncommitted had something they wanted the candidate to do.

I suspect these “activists”, if they’re even genuinely Democrats, don’t really activist for anything and are just butthurt moderates who’d rather lose than let progressives win. “Activist” and passionately VBNMW don’t really go together. More likely than not they’re just Republican/AIPAC stooges fed to a reporter though.

I am honestly wondering if they even exist at all. The fact that the AP is just throwing that out there without any kind of quote or a named source or even an “according to a source who requested to remain anonymous” really makes it seem like they think they’re just assuming there must be people like this.

I mean that would be a pretty crappy take on voting for the (R)acist Senator but this is American Exceptionalism after all.
