It just takes one change.
If, within a year, you take out loans totaling more than some variable using assets as collateral, the assets are taxed as realized gains and the loan is taxed as income.
The variable would be some multiplier of the net take home pay of the lowest earners, say 50x the lowest 20% (~$1.6m). That way, if they want cheaper loans, people need to be paid more.
This has the added benefit of not applying to regular people doing stuff like equity loans.
Prop 40: billionaire tax. Prop 41: tax that indirect kills prop 40. Prop 42: directly kills prop 40.

We don’t live in a democracy. Did we ever?
No. It’s always just been rich people controlling things.
Hell, the revolutionary war was largely about the rich not wanting to pay taxes.
If they wanted a true democracy we wouldn’t have the EC.
1000%
Also the Senate, which is about as democratic as a house of lords.
A Wyoming voter has seventy times more voting power in the Senate than a Californian.
People vote, not states, not corporations.
One person, one vote is the most fundamental democratic principle imaginable, and we don’t have that.
LMAO, I keep saying the same thing up here in WA state where it’s “As Blue” as California now. Yet somehow the last few initiatives to pass (Heh, democracy!) have been stricken down by the courts (who I thought were supposed to be non-partisan?)
Right here with you.
Emily Randall, my new congressperson, revealed she was a Zionist only on the eve of her election.
All my Dem state reps voted against the millionaires tax after saying nothing on it prior, ever.

What was stricken down was the natural gas initiative and it was struck because initiatives are supposed to tackle one issue, not multiple. It was Let’s Go Washington and Heywood’s fault for not properly writing the initiative and trying to trick voters.
Our initiative process will never be democratic as long as you can pay for signature gathering, which is simply “money in politics”.

Yeah funny because wouldn’t that work against Heywood here if that argument was sound?
