I recognize your username, I love seeing you pop up in comment sections. We’re in it together :)
Totally understand getting tired of it though. The desire to fight back ebbs and flows, but it’s always there.
I love that my existence pisses you off.

Sometimes that’s when you have the spare time to do it. It’s still not her fucking fault.
She’s gone out dozens of times in the middle of the night to repair campaign signs throughout the campaign. Sometimes her husband, Alex Placentia, joins her; other times, a campaign volunteer tags along. It’s been a successful way for Greene-Placentia’s campaign to put up signs while avoiding the heat and traffic.

Considering some of the views you’ve left on my posts, I welcome the lack of engagement.

Thank you, genuinely, for understanding her point of view instead of becoming defensive.

It helps heal the decades where I was taught to be silent and subservient to men, that women should be seen and not heard, and that my opinion has no value or place in public. I do this for me, not to change your mind.
This is something I choose to do. I enjoy trolling back rape apologists and being stubborn in the face of vitriol for being an outspoken woman. I enjoy making this place more welcoming to other women and minorities.
I am not a product of you.

I really appreciate that, TaterTot :3
Hopefully with enough time and stubbornness, more people like us will feel more comfortable here in the Fediverse!

you’re kind of rough when anyone disagrees or pushes back against you.
When the pushback is over rape and believing victims, yeah, I’m gonna get kinda rough about it.
I still engage because I’ve got ADHD and about five millions thoughts in my head at any given moment, plus I’m quick witted and have strong justice sensitivity. And I’ve seen some of the views that are supported here (about willing and consensual 14 year olds to be exact). So yeah, I can be rough.
Women don’t have to be sweet.

Do you think I care at this point?
We’ve already done this dance many times before, minorkeys.

You know exactly what you were getting at with those initial comments, don’t play dumb.

As do you.

I had already quoted the line of your comment that needed clarifying, it’s not on me that you can’t read.

Which measures or actions do rape victims need to complete before the wider public believes they’ve been raped?
Why are you avoiding the question?

I’m not trying to be prickly about rape, I am prickly about rape.
This extends far beyond just Republican culture and it does no one any good to pretend like being a Democrat or progressive means one is immune from supporting rape culture.

Why are you avoiding the question?

This is how rape apologists work. They like to dance around the subject, draw up false equivalences, and sow discord in order to obfuscate the true crime here - that this woman was raped by two men.

A claim has neither a negative or positive connotation. Claiming something happened doesn’t mean it’s inherently untruthful just as claiming something happened doesn’t mean it did.
If you are going to focus on one word here and ignore all the context around the rape culture in the US, by all means go for it. But I’m not going to be reading it.

You give enough fucks to leave many comments here. Rape shouldn’t be celebrated.

Women don’t get much beyond disbelief and ridicule when they come forward about being raped.
Thank you for sharing your story. I’m sorry you had to endure it and I’m sending warm healing thoughts your way <3
