Um . . . not familiar with this . . . ? Sounds scary maybe
EDIT: Ah, I see. Scary acronym. I need to self-criticize now because of a bourgeois and improper reaction to SLUM. Well, live and learn . . . 🤦♂️
Perhaps you could direct your teacher to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gmail#Criticism. This is just laziness and stupidity on the part of the school, IMNSHO.
EDIT: Although, to be fair, the school is probably getting this from Google for free—that’s how they getcha.
I’ve got a VPN and am using Mullvad Browser, any issues there? It keeps asking me how damn high the stupid fluffy little animals are jumping, over and over again . . .
Have a look at the following from the Easy Linux Tips Project.

8·1 month agoKeePassXC 2.7.12 still requires a .mozilla folder if I want to use their extension. The app data for LibreWolf is now nestled somewhere in .config. Would be kind of nice if KP could switch to XDG (if I’m understanding things correctly . . . )

5·2 months agoI hear ya. I have never had good luck with Scribus despite several dedicated tries. Still kind of learning Inkscape; I mentioned Krita instead of GIMP because it has full CMYK support. Depends on what your needs are I guess! 🙂

4·2 months agoAs far as InDesign—I don’t think it will probably ever have 1:1 feature parity, but LibreOffice Writer has recently gotten some new features that allow for more fine-tuned word and letter spacing as well as glyph scaling. A paragraph composer is on the horizon as well. There’s also Inkscape and Krita, but I’m guessing you probably already know about those…
EDIT: Also agitating for optical margin alignment on Writer; will see how that goes…

Piracy@lemmy.ml•How to remove DRM from lcpi file?English
0·4 months agoWill do, thank you 👍. For the record, looks like ebooks purchased from Google Play Store still use crackable Adobe DRM. I’d prefer to buy from ebooks.com, but I refuse to be confined to one app or device by fucking DRM. I don’t like giving money to Google, but if you have GrapheneOS you’re already forking out big bucks to them for a Pixel phone, though hopefully in the future it’ll be able to run on Motorola . . .

Embarrassed to ask what this is exactly…?

Marlinspike seemed like he might be ok, and now he’s working with a company that’s been proven time and time again that it can’t be trusted to do anything?
