there are several flavors of justified AI hate and, just as much, there are several legitimate use cases where it is genuinely helpful. Not nearly as many as venture capital seems to think (which is a large part of the reason for the hate), but still.

I’m told Forgotten Weapons may or may not be hiding fascist sympathies (I heard a rumor this is why he and Karl drifted apart), but I’ve watched them for years and haven’t actually seen anything like that with my own eyes, and the parties involved aren’t talking about it, so… he’s fairly impartial? Maybe? I haven’t yet seen anything concrete to suggest he’s a big Trump fan.
This is not to say I know for a fact they’re solidly in the “good guntube” camp like Karl, just that I can’t point to anything that says “this person is a cunt”
one of the first gun channels I found on YouTube was this guy and I dropped it after just a couple weeks of watching their backlog – sometimes interesting content, abrasively political host. listen, if they can highlight the parts of the bible they like (stoning gays, women’s servitude to men, slavery, many others, take your pick) and yank out the parts they don’t (95% of the rest of the book) for the purpose of dividing this country into bullshit culture wars; then so can any reasonably well-versed and so-inclined preacher do the same with the verses that tell you to love your neighbor, not to fuck around on your partner, or those about Jesus visiting the temple and chasing the money-changers and merchants out with a whip. different strokes for different folks, my hand has been forced by an allergy to cats, and frankly, while I’m sure they’re very sweet, I do not want to be the single, gay man with an animate ballsack for a cat (Yeah I know there are other hypoallergenic options but they were expensive last I checked and I’m poor – and, so were sphinxes, but I might be misremembering that part). I still pet every cat I get the chance to, regardless of how miserable it makes me because of said allergy, but oh man I could not exist in a house that had them.
I also appreciate dogs inability to lie, more, too; it has been my experience that a cat can plot. Dogs have little capacity for thought-out planning, good or bad, and their tail usually gives it away; but a cat gets ideas and a cat that is plotting to shit in your shoes later, and a cat that is more or less indifferent to your existence, or a cat that merely doesn’t want to engage with visitors, all look incredibly similar. Much like people, they can be duplicitous and incredibly good at it if they choose to be.
Now, you might appreciate that emotional complexity (and I admit, it does make dogs sound basic by comparison), but I do not. If a dog doesn’t like you, you will know almost immediately, almost 100% of the time. They are the worst liars of the domesticated animal kingdom, from being ashamed or not about who pissed on the carpet to whether or not they want you petting them or like the way that you currently are, or if they just get an awful vibe from someone – I can read them like a book, as someone with mild autism it’s fantastic. People? People can fuck themselves. (present company excluded, I suppose, we are in one of the moderately less awful corners of the internet, and I’m guessing the ratio of neurotypicals to not here is somewhat skewed)
I’ve been around cats (my allergy only developed after a few years around them), and I know from experience they are… wired differently. They’re better liars than dogs are, at least, when they want to be. I’ve met a few cats that obviously liked me, and a couple cats despise me, and just one that I know plotted. Whereas pretty much every dog I’ve ever met has at least tolerated me if not outright wanted to be my best friend.
