I’m not sure what they expected given all the news of our data center fights here in the US. I wish them all the luck in getting rid of these pests.

Like massive_bereavement said, I ended up using syncthing to sync my photos to Immich. As long as you point it at the Immich data folder, you can use Syncthing or ever regular file copying to get it there.

I have to warn you about Immich on one item: large file upload. Immich does not have chunk uploading, so if you are backing up a large video and you lose internet, the upload has to start all over. I found this out when my phone was trying to upload a 4k video that was about 10GB.
