Exactly. The article doesn’t explicitly make that point, but it’s like… Lots of people are willing to pay higher rent for an apartment complex with a pool, even if their neighbors also get to enjoy the pool.

This seems like a good thing.

I’m imagining the scene in Succession where Kendall’s on the phone, trying to play hardball with an investor like his dad did. Turned out he wasn’t good at it, and the investor never appreciated being hardballed in the first place.

“We have concepts of a plan”
I agree that’s the ethically correct way to do things. To your first point, in the US we’ve found a workaround where we pay poverty wages and tie health insurance to your employment, so when you get sick, you’ll return to work out of necessity so you don’t lose your job.

Jesus christ dude. A few years ago we were marching hopelessly towards extinction, and then a handful of psychopaths decided we should be sprinting. One day a more intelligent lifeform will read our story as a classic tragedy.

Angie Craig voted to increase ICE funding AFTER they murdered two Minnesotans. What a ghoul.

I agree with every single thing you said.

I’m so tired of this cynical take. Black people have never had a fucking break from being systemically and systematically disenfranchised. Voting is non-negotiable for me, but I can also understand the apathy when there are two candidates and neither of them seem interested in improving your life.
Unfortunately I paid a stupid amount on Etsy for like a dozen stickers.
