Im sure he’s well paid. But not by his voters

Th future of warfare is… the US losing yet another war!

You ain’t paying them enough for that. Their donors are.

It’s all projection, as per usual

As if capable management was ever the goal

And cut out the oligarchs middlemen? 😲

America doesn’t have the cards

Exactly. And the SpaceX contracts.

Its goal wasn’t saving money, don’t pretend it was. Its goal was destroying parts of the government the oligarchs didn’t like, and/or wanted to take over for themselves.

What a bunch of spineless critters

And last time it was Trump -again- shredding the deal. Not Iran.
Don’t move the goalposts here people.

Capitalism in the US worked if and when the system was kept in check by outside forces. Like when the US had to appear to be a civilized country during the Cold War.
After that, it became a free-for-all where each politician, Republicans most of all but Democrats not excluded, made sure that their guys could loot the till. And they all did.
Corruption and grift ensued, and regular folks were left holding the bag. Then they invented the scapegoat to blame it all on. Minorities, immigrants, or whatever the sad pick of the day happens to be.
Now they’re selling off what’s left of public goods, including the US’ international reputation, natural reserves and the government itself. The military has become a tool to fleece the markets.
That’s capitalism folks. If private greed is allowed to run amok, then this is what you get. Don’t act so surprised.
That purpose being: lower costs, higher profit margins.
We call it ‘financialized capitalism’. We’re supposed to be thankful for that.

Her condition, disclosed on Wednesday after a court hearing, remains severe. She has a blood clot in one arm and pneumonia, and had not eaten — she was unable to swallow when her lawyers saw her. She could not move her arms, and her hands had swollen to resemble inflated surgical gloves, said the lawyer, Randy Spivey.
“She woke up in a hospital surrounded by people she didn’t know with a tube down her throat,” Mr. Spivey said during a news conference. “We don’t know the toll all of this will take, but Christa is a survivor.”
Ms. Pike’s awareness and evolving condition heightened the stakes of a procedural hearing in Nashville on Wednesday. A judge said she would order Tennessee to preserve records and evidence tied to the execution attempt and to ensure Ms. Pike could communicate easily with her lawyers.
