Why have all of the LLM apologists come out of the wood work.

Oh my god. No.
That’s not what this argument is about. The JIT is non-deterministic based on the hot path yes. But the way that code gets turned into code IS.
The compilation of instructions is deterministic. The control flow and WHEN it gets compiled may not be, and it may smartly choose not to compile certain things based on that hot path but that’s not the same.
A compiler and interpreter is a SYSTEM. a LLM is not.

Id like to see Linus explain to me how a LLM works.
He is clearly ARROGANT and STUPID.
“Don’t use a compiler then.”
Does he not realize a LLM is not a deterministic system for “English to code”. I’ve long be suspicious of his “genius” and this confirms it for me.
A giant gaping asshole riding off the work of the original unix philosophy and system, while spewing putrescence.

“im fine with the state executing people as long as it behind closed doors!” - liberals

Honestly there is a good chance the LLM ripped code from the long standing projects to cut corners.

Open source tools for all of these use cases have existed for over a decade and people still buy both adobe and Microsoft office. I don’t think some slop apps are going to change that.
I’m a Microsoft hater but I don’t think this will changes the wider publics opinion on them?
Open office and libreoffice have been around a good while now.

Omarchy getting millions of dollars of donations why gentoo sits underfunded is so sad
Guys, nix or guix
The problem is already solved

I have this same sentiment, I took a long introspective journey to evaluate my bias. Even then LLMs have extremely limited use cases. But they can be useful, they just have a ton of baggage attached to them and condition.
Really feels like handling the ring from LOTR sometimes. Corrupting it’s user even if they seek to use it for good

Guys, just use nix, please it’s everything you say you want in a OS…

What happens if they declare him dead after Aug 3rd will there be a reaction

Unfortunately it was more of a “chant” and less "chants*
