How is this added permission not a good thing? Surely adding a local network only permission is a positive, you can allow apps internet permission and decline them access to your local services.

The DRM on steam means that games actually get released on Steam. The value they provide for me is that I can play multiplayer games with my friends on my OS of choice.

The DRM thing is a non issue for me. If I want to own the game forever, I will just pirate it. GOG as an example - I like the idea but in practice, there are hardly any games I’m interested in on there.

So I just take things into my own hands. Buy the game on Steam if it’s the right price and for the convenience. Pirate it in 10 years if it ever gets removed from Steam and I want to play it again.

I do actually think their heart is in the right place. Sadly, that place is in a reality they want to exist, but doesn’t. Every time I engage even a little with them I get paragraphs of mental gymnastics. Sometimes I wonder why I bother.

Vote as far left on every ballot but vote for the candidate that actually has a chance. It’s that simple for me.

I too want the party pulled left. And the time to do that is in the primaries, which is exactly whats happening now.

I am hoping that anyone left of center finally learned their lesson from the last election. Vote with your heart in the primaries but come election time join hands with those closest to you and present a united front. Republicans are idiots but even they understand this. I voted for Sayed and I’m happy he won, but if it was Stevens I’d be getting behind her as well.

This is Kentucky, they are not worried about losing the seat. What they should do is just put a dem in his seat and let the courts sort it out, which is exactly what Republicans would do. But ya… Controlled opposition…

I don’t think youre crazy but in this situation, why would the dems want a special election? He will be replaced by another able bodied voting republican. As of now, the Republicans simply lose a vote until midterms.
