I’ll bet that is a source, but it the water canteens and the packaging for all the other food they eat in mess halls supplied by the lowest cost vendors is an even bigger source.

Thanks, I hate it.
Desktop works do well because it is a canvas of varying sizes where you can spread out your work. Overlapping windows and tiling are both great for me because they serve different functions and I like using either depending on context. This was a lot of examples of the types of ‘helping’ that apple does which I hate. Just let me see and interact with things.
A note about change that works for others but not me: Windows turning the list of apps off start to a search. Fuck that bullshit, I don’t remember the namd of evert app but give me a list of names or icons and I can find it in a second.
It is fine if someone else likes it, great for them.

No, it isn’t like those things at all. Those are promoting changes to how the government works. This is a direct bribe explicitly for voting.

It alao assumes that each data center will have a hardware refresh every few years to sustain demand.
I can’t see demand surviving the necessary pricing to be profitable over time with the inital hardware, much less to pay for the inevitable refresh.

They don’t claim that after the fact, it’s their terms of service to begin with.
Terms of Service constantly change and are retroactive so it literally does not matter what was in them when the purchase was made.

A lawyer doesn’t even need to convince anyone of anything other than getting a trial delayed long and extensively enough for the other side to give up or for a judge to just throw their hands up and toss the hot potato of a case.
None of these cases are that fucking complicated. The process is.

I never watched a movie recorded in the theater, and yes I was the right age for it. We had a cheap theater that did second runs on popular movies and saw everything I wanted in the main theater or that if there were too many good movies in a ahort period of time.
When I found out about the bootleg movies I thought they were idea ridiculous because the few examples I saw on the news looked like trash and a friend who knew how to get them confirmed they were trash.
We did brunch a lot of music and one guy I know pirated Playstation games, but those were good copies.

Police providing security at the courts should be arresting those ice agents for kidnapping since they don’t have jurisdiction, but we all know why they don’t.

Money isn’t my objection. I think mandating safety equipment like back up cameras is a good thing.
This is fantasy tech that will never work reliably for the entire population and therefore it should not be required even if it was free.

Hey look, it is one of those things that would be great if it worked perfectly and never sent data out from the vehicle but since it won’t be perfect and it will absolutely be designed to send telemetry it will be a dystopian nightmare as the article points out.

They would have done the screens without the backup cameras.

Back up cameras are also important for sedans, hatchback, and anything else where you can’t see something 24 inches tall right behind the rear bumper. They are a benefit for every enclosed vehicle, just like airbags and abs.
This sentence is hilarious out of context.
Is the increased size entirely do to bitrate needed to carry all those fine details or is lack of color depth (?) A big factor as well? Like are there generally fewer shades of grade or is it just that they don’t update fast enough to be clear because of the lower bitrate?
By color depth I mean the range of colors/shades/whatever availbe to display.
