I’ve never thought the Republican policies, in general, were better than the Dem policies. But I have, on occasion voted for the Republican in elections (local or state) when I thought that person was a better candidate. Those days are decades behind me now. I’ll vote Dem, or leave it blank if I really don’t agree with the candidate, but I can’t imagine voting for anyone connected with that traitor party ever again.

Congressional hearings are supposed to be important. I really wish we lived with a working gov’t and could censure representatives that straight up lie about shit.

Sometimes talking to your Representatives office will help. I’ve been stopped at the San Diego border, and in Miami (late '80s and late '90s respectively). It was a different time, and I was just a smart-ass asshole until they finally let me go, but these days it’s so much darker.

Reporters are so trained not to make themselves part of the story that they are unable to respond when they are forced to be part of the story. Also, corporate news, sponsors, etc.

Do I have this right: We give Israel a lot of support because reasons. Israel uses that support to buy weapons from US weapons manufacturers. So we, the citizens, are subsidizing weapons manufacturers with the side effect that Israel can siphon off enough of that support to also bribe our politicians. So we’re subsidizing Israel to influence policy. To help the owners of our society. So…class war?
