Just enough to convince locals they are good before getting what they want and ruining the area for decades.

Sounds like it, and sounds like a great way to deprecate the old site slowly while limiting the blast radius if pissed users.

Yes, that was my point.

By trying everything they could to force dominance they have pushed many many people away from US AI.
Funny enough if they had let capitalism go normally and let true competition go they might have ended up truly dominant.

As I said, a bill to ban VPNs from accessing piracy sites. Not forcing piracy sites to do anything, forcing providers to block access.

They just introduced a bill to ban vpns from accessing piracy sites, I don’t have the link on me but you can look it up. About 3 days ago

I don’t click on links without knowing what they are first, what is this?

Why do you think suddenly they’re trying to crack down on piracy?

AWS, Azure, and GCP had plenty of capacity 6 years ago for the entire “web” that they ran, now all of a sudden they need 20x the capacity.
AI requires insanely power hungry GPUs and massive cooling infrastructure.
It’s not exactly rocket science to see what happened.

I interviewed there last year. I was penalized for not using enough AI in my interview. I used it, just not enough of it.
They told me it was a company wide mandate. That I should be ready to not write any code but to use AI for everything.
So, whose fault is it?

There’s dozens of free open source apps that do this already. Why would I want to lock into a what appears to be proprietary (and probably vibe coded soon to be abandoned) project?

And why are they so mad at us for things we don’t do?
“We just make and manufacture weapons, we don’t use them, that’s other people, why are they mad at us?”.
And we just want people to be safe.
“Please bend over for your safety inspection, we want you to be safe, this is all for your own protection. How dare you be upset at us”

Let’s hope the Streisand effect is in play here

Did you not see where I striked it through and the other comment already calling that out, and wherein already admitted my mistake?

You’re right, I didn’t. Retracted.

~~This isn’t a business model, you just used an img2img model and had the prompt day “remove the watermark”. Those who make models and run the apis have a business. You (or the creator of this) do not. ~~

I’ve been doing that, I use kubernetes, so kagent. Sammy at first but it calmed down. It’s neat to have it auto triage something that went down or failed, parse the logs, look at the hardware and health and then tell me when it’s time.
GPUs are sparse but I run on a 3090, VRAM is king. If you have one for a server it’s not horrible to spin up an llm

Yes and no. I use llama server to run my own local models, and then open ice to monitor it. From there a lot of open source services host MCP servers which then can help integrate. I then use it to auto write the documentation on the layout so next time when I say “go to the ZigBee controller and tell me…” It knows first go to the docs, it remembers where it is and any useful commands, then continues on.
