They didn’t have much sugar, that has excellent dental health

Also not a biologist but I note there is a narrative that all the great apes are peaceful and that so there is something wrong with warlike humans. I don’t believe it’s a narrative from science, but it might be what makes this newsworthy

The normal deadlocks also let you key lock it to unlocked, which I do on laundry day as I’m constantly in and out of the back door and don’t want to carry my keys
So obviously once you publish this you’ll be famous. Hence I don’t think you are correct in your analysis

It’s vital if you have had chicken pox. Chicken pox is forever, it becomes shingles; the vaccine allows your immune system to continue fighting it in the form that has hidden from your immune system for decades

I’m in Australia, and on a bus home from work a kid went to sit in front of me but hesitated, so I looked and there was a small bottle on the seat. 50mL maybe.
I told the kid “probable a small alcohol bottle, I’ll put it in a bin” and she sat down
It wasn’t. It was “healing oils”. A bottle of essential oils that said it would fix anything. It deserved the bin

My parents weren’t antivax, they had doctor appointments booked to get me fully vaccinated. But I couldn’t be vaccinated against measles as I had a fever at the time of the appointment
Of course the fever was measles
I’m glad that most people around were vaccinated, so I only caught it from one person and luckily was okay.
May more antivax die of these diseases to reduce the reduction of infection among the population who aren’t vaccinated due to age (like I was) or immunocompromised or whatever. Fuck the antivax people.
Anyone raised by antivax: talk to your doctor about getting any childhood vaccinations you missed where you also have so far missed the getting the disease.

I can’t see us throttling the fossil fuel companies, and I’m not at all hopeful of any carbon drawdown technology more complex than trees will happen, and I don’t think we can plant anywhere near enough trees in places they can grow, and replant those that are burnt down
I think Kim Stanley Robinson has it right in his sci fi that all the coastal cities are screwed in a hundred years or so and presuming we don’t fuck the biosphere in general enough to wipe out civilisation we’ll be dredging sand just offshore from the old beaches to build new ones
I don’t live in the UK or Europe but I wonder if the land rise (the rebound from the last glaciation) can keep up with sea level for long. The 10m rise from the west Antarctic ice sheet failing would have certainly outrun it, being described as like a tide that keeps coming in (look up 10m in a flood map to see how bad that would be for an overnight change!) but that’s off the table. The Antarctic isn’t melting like the Arctic. At least not yet.
I almost hope for life extension so I can see the disaster, but it’ll suck.

That’s a pretty bad mistake. Taking “not proven” as meaning “proven not”. It’s like they either never learnt logic or they don’t understand their statistics

“The bad news is, we are on track for Permian-Triassic levels of warming in worst-case scenario projections,” said Sperling. Temperatures increased 8-12 degrees Celsius over thousands of years to cause the Great Dying, and today, over just 100-200 years, temperatures are projected to be 1.5-4 degrees Celsius warmer than preindustrial times by 2100. “But the good news is, we’re still at the point where we can change things and do something about it.”
8° over thousands of years killed almost everything in the ocean. 6 degrees in a couple of hundred is likely on our current trajectory. That doesn’t give much time for evolutionary fixes for the ocean animals

Measles never had it so good

There no good reason to think a technical solution can’t fix a problem created by capitalism
It’s certainly not a problem that can be solved by individual action

Like carnivore. I have died of scurvy 15 times since I started that fad diet

It’s closer to gender and health wrecker so it’s probably in line with Trump policy, except that it reduces fertility
Jets run on kerosene but higher quality, so yes, the leaded fuel is small prop planes
