I build a Tauri app without Android Studio, with ‘cargo tauri android build’. you still need the android SDK.

lenovo. replaced my old dell precision laptop with a T480 and I’m loving it.

dell pros:

• fast
• solid gpu for the time
• clean look
• came with linux.

dell cons:

• battery swelled up, made the trackpad and keyboard not work. replaced the battery a lot.
• keyboard wore out well before lenovo
• chassis screws fell out and then the hinge broke as a result. this is not a thing with lenovo.
• front edge was too sharp and slightly cut into my wrists. not a show stopper but annoyed me the whole time I owned it.

For your situation 16G may be adequate. But 24 is better.

I think they were saying they don’t have a PC.

Where was anyone talking about a phone without an SD card

part of the process is formatting your SD card and putting lineageos on it. I don’t think that’s possible with just your phone. maybe if you had two SD slots.

my org uses Nextcloud. Its possible to set up folders that are read-only. We have a ‘secretary’ folder and a ‘file drop’ folder. The secretary is read-only except for the current secretary. The file drop any user can put files in, but only the secretary can edit or delete them.

We drop files (like signed contracts) into the ‘file drop’, and the secretary (a person!) moves them into the secretary folder which is visible to all users, but read only.
