1·5 days agoThinking is energy intensive and a hard thing to do, it is much easier to forget and not think about it, be it the richest person or the poorest person who make short term decisions that fuck everyone around them over, it’s just a matter of scale.

politics @lemmy.world•Vivek Ramaswamy Pulls His Disturbing Ad After ‘Our Numbers Cratered’
50·6 days agoYeah too little too late, it was a move someone who knows they’re losing pulls and instead of being classy he did a low thing that made his opponent look way more sympathetic and her mom look so much worse with the slightest investigation, and ties the Republican party more and more with defending rapist pedophiles.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Linux 7.4 Sound Changes Merged: "The AI Flood Continues"
63·10 days agoCoding is one of the few usecases for AI I don’t have issues with per say, but that is with the caveat that it is done by a competent coder who knows what they’re doing to make things work better more quickly and with fewer bugs and issues. AI shouldn’t replace peoples jobs, except for maybe CEOs, it should be an efficiency multiplier and free people up from doing a load of busy work. Unfortunately I see AI being used as an excuse to fire people and make tye world a worse place in the search for immediate gains for companies without thought of the long term consequences.

Ah, I had no idea. Are any of the others anywhere near as private and secure?
