Just like the Saudi family’s private jet being the only passenger jet allowed in the air on 9/11 despite 15/19 hijackers being Saudi, the perpetrating party is being given grace because they need to clean things up first and construct the narrative.

It’s a good baseline test to see different manufacturers and models and who is better/worse, etc. that said, they did opt-in to many of these (under threat in some cases), so may not be the baseline (though surely enshittification will have it be required or play unblockable ads in the future).

Oregon DMV was one of the many MoveIt breach targets and all that juicy bio data (eye, hair, height, complexion, attached to DOB) is now floating in the ether. Probably my most frustrating breach notification. Can’t even really sue my state despite their complicit incompetence.

So thrilled about my 12 months of data theft protection I was provided that ended several years ago. I assume data thieves stoped all activity with it long ago.

Do they not realize this makes them confirmed to be so much worse than the average person thinks and exactly what everyone who hates them despises?
