If he’s assassinated, they’ll try to canonize him like they did with Charlie Kirk.
Rotting in prison is the greater humiliation for a narcissist.

Culture war is basically the only thing left that the Republican base approves of. He’s trying to play to his party’s “strengths.”

It’s been nearly 30 years since I fervently believed that an afterlife was real. This comment made me wish it were true.
Dante could add a whole extra ring of Hell for the MAGA faithful.

This is what I see, too. I’m in South America with my location turned off and a VPN running on my device with a US IP address.

A lot of the rural Trump voters I know had made being uneducated a key pillar of their personal identity even before 2015. Those are the people who think he’s a charismatic speaker.
The urban and suburban ones held their noses and voted for him because “at least he’s not a Godless Democrat.” They don’t listen to what he says, but they vote for him anyway.

That is likely true. I can’t imagine him calling anyone else “sir” or “Mr. President.”

It’s interesting to see the lengths that established media are going to in order to “both sides” this political opinion that is obviously not a 50/50 split.
The headline is, “Mayor Mamdani finds favor in New York City, but struggles with state.”
Has any other New York mayor ever had this kind of approval rating? Maybe Giuliano immediately after 9/11 …
I sincerely doubt that most NYC residents give a rat’s ass about what other residents of their state think about the city’s mayor.

“Small enough to fit in your reproductive organs” appears to be the goal.

2020s Democrats are mostly 1980s Republicans that are more okay with diversity.

Yeah, my little group met up in Arlington and traveled together so we wouldn’t get lost.
It was nice to be with such a huge group of people who all had a good sense of humor. We don’t get a lot of that these days.

No, you didn’t. The “reporting” here is very poor and largely just reiterates the owner’s view without clarifying the actual reasons the state gave for revoking the license.

Agreed.
That was a great day. Thanks for prompting a trip down memory lane.

I would bet that he’s got his father’s voice in his head, telling him what a loser he is a dozen times a day.
A lot of us have family trauma. Most of us don’t try to burn down the entire world because of it.
How different do you think things would be if someone had gotten this man into therapy in the '80s or '90s?

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is the Democrats’ fundraising arm specifically for Senate races. It has been an entity for more than 100 years.
It’s not “what Schumer and the neoliberals still control after losing the DNC.” I don’t even know what that’s supposed to mean.
It’s important because it’s one of the major three national Democratic Party committees that collect and spend funds on federal-level elections. (Republicans have parallel committees, too.)
Withholding funds from a specific Senate race is a pretty serious step for the party to take.
The difference between a Christian and an atheist is that there’s just one additional god the Christian believes in that the atheist doesn’t.
