The blame isn’t on you tbf nobody should be expected to drop their principles on a whim. Being compatible only with gmail is so bad… I hope you can work it out but it’s more a thing for school faculty to change.
Worst case scenario you make a burner acc. Are you sure there’s no “login/connect with another provider” type link?
“We’re sorry we’re unreliable. Please rely on us!” Obviously no correlation between a paid subscription and a better service.
The use case for slskd is if you want your music to live on a different machine, whereas soulseek/qt is for if you want your music on your primary machine. Another reason I keep it on a server is efficiency - I can expose my collection for sharing without having my 200W+ PC on, instead my server takes ~60W, ~20 if i remove the GPU
You guys use the internet to download torrents?
I second the existing recommendations. Unfortunately Lidarr is only partially operational. My stack consists of:
For my particular use case (Proxmox-based container), I have a tutorial available. This can no doubt be adapted slightly if your system differs.

Ya I’ve seen a suspicious lapse in archivals on my system, figured something was up but usually only need to wait a week or two
Great tips! Although if i may 🤓 just a little for the top right, it works because what you deleted isn’t the binary, it’s the pointer that points to the binary’s location. The data is still exactly as it was before “deletion”; the symlink is simply a copy of the original pointer’s info; and I’m speculating that the existence of any pointer prevents the system from recycling those addressed bits.
Aha, I disabled the LEDs by unplugging them from the motherboard, you could do the same with the power sw plugs
A lot of folk decry Cloudflare as a terrible corp (and their AI push now involves the login page shunted to the side while 70% of the screen is a relatively blank section with some sentence about using their AI), but what is the non-3rd party alternative? Does one rely on sharing the IP instead? It is impossible to have public (non-family) traffic without a Cloudflare/Google DNS resolver right?
Being on a standard ISP I cannot use a higher-level rDNS.
Ah, this website didn’t even try to popup for cookies or email subscribing, so nice!!! This is a “the bar is in hell” situation but yeah
Nice that’s similar to my setup! As for a website hub yours looks neat, mine is plain as hell unless you’re a family member, thanks to Authelia – but making public info is on my todo list – I tried custom-building a website many years back and adapted that. (If anyone discovers security flaws please lmk, but I’m preeetty sure I did good)
Gonna share mine :3
I conspire that it was being updated to become weaker. Reasons:
And as the months went on reconnecting stopped working, power cycling stopped working and it stopped giving me a keyboard, instead prompting to “enter on your remote device” so my last remaining technique was to install the Google Home app, set everything up and use my phone keyboard to enter the WiFi creds.
I conspired that as it was fine until recently and it went downhill so rapidly, that it must have been forced obsolescence and they’ll probably release a replacement device. Surprise – one month after I replaced it with Kodi, Google released the “Google TV Streamer 4K”.
Once I can upgrade my 2017 flagship to a 2027 midrange I’ll be transferring the i7-7700K and the other half of the 2x16 RAM, and I’m in dire need of more storage so a 30TB Ironwolf is in my sights (but fuck, it’s 2x its pre AI-pocalypse price (aka Sep 2025).
Interesting, I figured people would use MySQL instead if possible.
On these communities and the source articles themselves. I bloody hate when the only way to find a date for reference is to find another article (or maybe dig through the site’s code).
The only thing I know about apparmour is that it breaks some permissions for a couple of my machines, and I have to disable them in the container config in order for the containers to boot
I like to think folk would trust me, an enthusiast, with absolute sovereign security for their information over superficial centralised security from a corporation. Well, as it is a Matrix server doesn’t need any personal info from a client, just the bare essentials from their device to make comms work.
What is it? Seems unstable
How much would gofu.ckyour.self go for I wonder. And how does artificial popularity inflation even work on a domain, like how does a name go from £5/yr to £2,500/yr
Everything except their DNS resolution and proxies, right?
Mm I also got probes for WordPress a month or so ago, but after I switched from Cloudflare to Mythic Beasts. Have you switched off the setting that says Cloudflare will allow known AI bots to trawl your domains?
