How do you even begin to articulate the depths of cruelty in that statement? How can a human be so evil?
Any recs for the best choice for buying a home router for someone who doesn’t have the knowledge to build or configure one? I’m smart enough to change the admin password and rename the default network/setup a new password, but that’s about it. Mine just stopped getting security updates, plus it’s a Netgear. I know no one is really trustworthy anymore, but I know some brands are more sketchy than others.
What do you mean by their hardware? I have Xfinity (it’s the only option for Internet in my apartment complex) and I have my own modem and router. I’ve never used Xfinity’s equipment.
Even if they were Amish, not all Amish are anti-vax or anti modern medicine. I used to run EMS in an area with a large Amish community and we went out for Amish frequently. Sometimes you’d roll up and they’d be coating our patient in essential oils (not exaggerating, I’ve seen it), and sometimes you’d roll up and family would hand you a doctor’s printout of the patients medication list and calmly explain to you the patients medical history, what doctors they were seeing, and what for.
I know the US was never the good guys they like to pretend to be, but 15 years ago if a serious movie was made portraying leadership like the US government it would be considered far too over the top and entirely unrealistic. You could only have made a movie with this level of evil as satire or comedy, except that now this is the real world and it’s not fucking funny because they’re trying to figure out how to take the whole damn globe down with them.

I’m honestly less interested in mice doing squats and more distracted by the thought that I need a device like that. I do go to the gym and lift weights and all, but my fat ass could use something like that when the midnight munchies hit.
