I installed it over a year ago, didn’t realize it had become so difficult now in Firefox.

Might be worth having a “single-purpose install” of a Chrome-based browser like Helium just for watching streaming video.

But… you wouldn’t!!

Have you tried the FastStream web browser extension? Among its features is subtitle search for a stream you’re watching.

I’ve even used it on legit sites that already had subtitles, to find some with a better translation.

[Off-topic] I did a Neosearch for a sentence in a Fediverse profile that I felt was AI-generated. Here are the results 😂

Looks interesting! Will keep trying it over the next few days.

1. I’ve already changed the “Continue your search” settings to disable Google & Chat GPT; enabled DDG. Nice to have the option.
2. Maybe add Marginalia support for small web / indie web results?
3. I searched for a film title & was pleasantly surprised to see results for streaming sources. Is there a way to get it to return streaming results available in my country?
