If you want https it’s gotta be a external DNS record anyway, might as well point to internal ips
Depending on how paranoid your setup is not everything will use the DHCP provided DNS servers

except accidentally trying low carb diets
Oh, thats quite a accident!
May I suggest getting fasting insulin checked as well? from my reading of the literature, it’s the single biggest lever in getting t2d and cardiovascular issues under control or even reversed. the best way to achieve low insulin levels is the low carb diets you accidentally tried before.

I’m glad to hear its under control. Are you monitoring your fasting insulin levels? Getting your insulin levels down is probably the single best thing you can do for cardiovascular health.

It’s not to late to start taking control of your diabetes, getting blood sugar and insulin under control will improve erectile function!

Genetic background sets the trajectory of experimental cancer evolution… In inbred mice exposed to cancer causing drugs eating 55% carb diet, with 10% from industrial soybean oil.

Yeah, that is fair.

In addition to what other people have said, don’t sleep on Intel gpus, they’re great and they have great Linux compatibility. Even as vgpus for VMs.
Get more RAM than you think you need, I know it’s expensive, get more than you need.
I do everything through virtual machines, so I have a Linux gaming virtual machine that gets the GPU passed through to it directly, and I have a Windows gaming virtual machine that gets the same GPU passed through to it. Both work fine, some things work better on one than the other. Anti-cheat is annoying especially in a VM. There’s a ways to get around it, but if you can’t or you don’t want to, you can dual boot the machine directly into Windows. To make that easy simply have a full nvme drive just for Windows or Linux gaming if you want, and then boot directly into it when you need to go bare metal.
That covers all my gaming use cases, so Linux gaming VM most of the time, Windows gaming VM sometimes, and bare metal windows on occasion.
The benefit to using VMs, you can snapshot them easily, you can roll things back, you can limit the damage of bad games or mods you don’t trust, you can have multiple things running on your computer at the same time. If you’re running a game that doesn’t need all of your CPU all of your RAM, they can be doing productive work as VMs, or when your not gaming the GPU can be doing stuff like jellyfin transcoding.

In my production systems, and in my home systems, and in my gaming computers, I turn swap off. There’s no good reason to wear out disc writes. In production systems, I’d rather have something fail hard, then get slower and slower and slower falling behind.
Quite frankly, there’s no good reason to have swap on anymore, memory is huge. Most programs don’t need as much as they use. You can set memory pressure in systemd, telling programs to reduce their usage, and giving them individual hard cutoffs, so something like Prometheus can’t take down your whole system just because it’s got a memory leak.

Good for you, but the discussion in this comment thread has always been about his politics
No… it has been about mullvad being a great browser that just acts like a browser.
that is literally what the first reply to your comment in this chain was about.
and i’ve addressed why that hot take is just a whataboutism and purity testing doesn’t belong in open source discussions.
Don’t engage in the first place if you are so unwilling to discuss it.
Same to you buddy! This is my thread your badgering me on.

and they cited a article calling the cofounder a nazi.
I don’t care about the cofounders personal politics. The product is open source, its solid, and does a excellent job.

now you have moved the goalposts from mullvad, to one of its founders using personal money, now to a political party that isn’t involved in mullvad.
does any of this impact the open source project? no.

There isn’t really any controversy with the company or the products. one of the co-founders fail people’s political purity testing, but the products are solid.

it’s an extremely hot take to call them a nazi because you disagree on one person’s political viewpoints on immigration, and try to purity test a great open source project because of it.

That’s a fun hot take, regardless the open source browser they sponser is amazing and it’s exactly what I want out of the box.

Mullvad browser is great
I setup a simplex alerting bridge so grafana can create lab alerts to a simplex group, messages disappear when alerts are resolved.
