Here’s a post she made shortly after being fired that gives some context to the story: https://karenattiah.substack.com/p/the-washington-post-fired-me-but?r=2bz6j

I used to work on the website for a utility company that insisted on ridiculous uptime. Our major deployments risked taking the system down for a few seconds, though in practice that never happened.
As a result, they made us do deployments starting at 3:00 in the morning since that was the least active time on the site. Fuuuuuuuuck that place.

My brother is an air traffic controller at one of the world’s busiest international airports and I can assure your their system uptime is no where close to 3 9s.

I don’t think adjudicated is a weaselly adjective. If you say someone’s a rapist, people might think “well that’s just their wild conspiracy theory.” But when you say Trump’s an adjudicated rapist, that’s stating that he was found to have committed rape in a court of law.

Kind of them to wait to drop the news at 5:00PM on a Friday.

“Consequently, the grand jury’s indictment of Mr. Hearn is hard to explain. Mr. Hearn needs to learn whether the grand jury was properly instructed that the charge required him to have caused over $1,000 in damages, when the testimony failed to establish that he caused any damage at all. So does this Court.”
This would be so great of it ended up with the US attorney being disbarred for this.
They say a prosecutor can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich - but usually the grand jury isn’t hearing testimony saying there’s no way the sandwich committed any crime.

There was also Trump’s response of accusing the guy yelling of being a communist.

That’s pretty funny. Suing for damages means you gotta show your finances to probes how you were damaged.

I was thinking coma. But that works too.

If McConnell could read, he’d be very upset.

Appreciate you posting this. I came here to post the same article and was debating how to title it to fit rule 1, then saw you already did!

TLDW; billionaire Michael Bloomberg is behind multiple laws in mostly blue states to require spyware be added to all 3D printers under the banner of “gun control”.
He’s attempted to hide this as a grassroots effort, when in reality it’s nearly completely funded by him and his organizations. There’s a call to action to contact your representatives if that legislation is being proposed in your state and voice your opposition to letting billionaires control what you can and cannot 3d print.

The IRS probe revolved around whether Trump doubled-dipped in cutting his taxes, according to a 2024 report by The New York Times and ProPublica — specifically whether he used the same losses from his Chicago skyscraper to cut them twice in future filings, a big no-no.
What the fuck kind of shit ass reporting is that? “A big no-no”? What are we, fucking toddlers? How about highly illegal and a felony deserving of prison time?

I still don’t understand how this is an official DOJ policy. I always see it referenced as a DOJ memo from the 70s. Who gives a shit about memos? This is supposed to be a country of laws, not 50 year old memos.
But yeah, would love Garland to issue a new memo overturning that policy. Let Trump’s first official act be to overturn an existing policy to prevent him from being investigated. Not saying he would even hesitate to do it, just saying I’d like to make it an explicit step he has to take.
I feel like that should have been in the headline as well. Not only did he confirm he was committing crimes and wasn’t sorry, he committed additional crimes just to rub it in.
