DeGoogle Yourself@lemmy.ml•Which browser is the most secure and collects the least data?
0·23 days agoI think LibreWolf only works on Windows computers or Apple devices. What concerned me most was digital privacy, because I feel that Google is always watching us, like a spy. I still don’t know which browser to use—the Firefox browser. Some people say that Mozilla sells some of its users’ data and makes false promises about security.
For now, I think I’ll use the Tor Browser until I find a browser that is more focused on privacy and has more advanced features.

DeGoogle Yourself@lemmy.ml•Which browser is the most secure and collects the least data?
0·23 days agoI’m terrible at modifying my browser and making it more secure. My own Firefox, for example, isn’t very secure at all.
I was just looking for a secure browser for personal safety. Now, anonymity would make sense to not me since I barely know much about technology.

11·23 days agoThat’s an impressive network architecture. Your VLAN segmentation and the use of OpenWRT with Pi-hole/Unbound effectively mitigate most of the internal risks. In your case, the local security is definitely top-notch

1·23 days agoStrict, yes. Invincible, no. It’s the best of the Gecko bunch, but it’s still not a silver bullet for privacy.

DeGoogle Yourself@lemmy.ml•Which browser is the most secure and collects the least data?
15·23 days agoIt’s a great start, but remember that no browser is 100% secure. Even LibreWolf can’t protect you if your OS is leaking data or if you’re not using a VPN/Tor.

1·23 days agoInteresting point about Firefox on Android being behind. Do you think Vanadium is the only viable option there, or is there any other hardened browser for mobile that actually works?"

DeGoogle Yourself@lemmy.ml•Can I change my phone from regular Android to LineageOS using root, without a PC?
1·2 months agoAlmost nowhere can anyone teach how to do this for my cell phone anymore. I’ve seen YouTube videos where people taught how to make ROMs without a PC, but I never find anything for my phone.

That was already pretty obvious. You’d have to be stupid to think technology doesn’t spy on people. Even the fact that our phones are always watching us makes us think about these new things with AI. That’s the world we live in: a mess. They’re always watching us. All of this makes the world hypocritical and capitalist. :/
