This is the question to spend your Claude tokens on. It helped me tweak my setup to get better performance.

61·8 days agoI’ve got similar running on my RX 7600 XT. It is not a great experience for interactive use, but fine for async tasks. I’m also running nemo-speak for live local dictation and meeting transcription.

1·20 days agoyubal to grab stuff from yt, then some scripts smashing Claude and beets together for more intelligent automation, then navidrome for serving. Occasionally I’ll use slskd for more obscure stuff. Tempus is my current Android player of choice.

5·28 days agoThat’s really cool, but $85 to repurposed an existing piece of hardware vs the Home Assistant Voice PE at $69 is tough to swallow.

1·2 months agoIts a secure way to route the traffic from a public endpoint to your internal services without exposing your home IP address. You could do something similar with wireguard. I didn’t indicate you couldn’t.

1·2 months agoYou mean putting your home servers on a VPN with your client devices? That wouldn’t really allow for exposing public services.
You could use that… Having used it I would not recommend it though. I used to use it for contracting. It was fun learning double entry accounting but there are much better platforms and approaches for personal finance and budgeting these days.

0·7 months agoGrimmory all the way. Once I tried it I haven’t gone back to my CWA deployment at all. Also, Shelfmark is pretty cool.

I’m glad OP was able to make a tool that is useful and valuable to them.
That said, I think we’ve entered an age of ephemeral technology where people are able to vibe out tools in a few hours that would have taken weeks previously. This is good and bad.nits a huge time saver, but because it took less effort there is also significantly less value. Not just to others but for most of the creators as well. Most of these vibed projects see very little updates after a few months.
To be fair, I use clankers to bang out new tools pretty regularly. They’re good at it, and unless I’m polishing a specific skill its not the best use of my time to build them myself. The big difference is that I know I will abandon those tools. I’ve abandoned many of the hand written tools ive created over the years too after they’ve serves their purpose or outlived their usefulness.
Maybe others could use these tools we clank out too, but more than likely the people with the inclination to would just vibe their own, and everyone else would just be annoyed.
