No Bambu or Creality, seriously - get a Centuri Carbon from Elegoo. It’s the absolute best option for a newb, the price is incredible for what you get, and they just work. Bambu and Creality are both very hostile toward their users for no reason.

3·20 days agoForgot I’d changed the filament from PETG to PLA or vice versa. I did it twice, and not since. Took me hours to clear.

2·2 months agoI live amidst the great lakes. I took great care with bagging and sealing and drying when I was using Creality printers, because it really mattered. I’ve been lazy about it since ditching them, and my Centauri Carbon could not give a shit. I could leave filament on my lawn and this thing would just chew right through it.

1·3 months agoI didn’t think it was any more insulting than what he’s been saying to me, but okay.
The better your printer, the less this matters (in my experience). I just bought a couple spools of matte PLA from Michael’s, the craft store. Legitimately really nice quality filament for about 20% less than a higher end spool. I was shocked 😂

1·3 months agoWhen you use a good printer, it’s hard to look back at the older ones. They are, as you said, pretty dang jank.

21·3 months agoOP bought a used Ender 3 v2. OP had it working just fine, until it needed repair, and stopped doing the thing it’s designed to do - print. Then, OP bought a K1 because the Ender printed fine. It’s not a skill issue, champ, I’m doing just fine. I don’t think you actually read my posts at all. If you did, you having a reading comprehension issue.

2·3 months agoMy opinion is that a printer should print. Maybe I’m wrong about that.

1·3 months agoI could not be more serious about the Centauri Carbon. Bambuu was never an option for me because again, user-hostility, but I haven’t heard anything terrible about Elegoo yet. The fact that they came through with the CANVAS at that price point is bananas to me, honestly.

I’ve posted about my experience with Creality, if you want to go back and look. They’re just total garbage.
