  • I used miniflux for a long time, it’s great. But my server went down a couple of times over the years, and i couldn’t fix it while being away from home.

I ended up using an RSS app on my phone (Feedflow), as i don’t consume news on my desktop. And I enjoy this much more. If my server goes down, i can still read my news

  • I use Yamtrack, it tells me which streaming provider has each show and it alerts me of new episodes. I like it

Floppy seems like a fork with a major expansion of the code base, mostly AI?.

I tried installing floppy. The comment about 420 000 lines of code different from yamtrack, and that it took a long time to load makes me wanna stay with yamtrack for now. we’ll see how the two develop over time

  • I have tried it a bit today and I like it, but I have a few questions

    • Is it better to run it in docker or e.g. a LXC in proxmox? If i want to index files, it seems it needs the config.yml file
    • After just playing with it for a day, the disk usage is 150 MB. I figure I should use postgres instead of sqlite. Do you have any examples on how to set that up, preferably with docker? I guess I can figure it out, but it might take me some time. I am not familiar with pgvector
