Imagine being locked out of your house because you forgot to bring keys with you.
Like, I’m sorry if you disagree with this, but holy shit, having electric locks on your doors where you can get into your house based off a fingerprint or a code is a fucking game changer.
I have two on my doors, one on the front, one on the back, and I installed them at a week or two apart, so if one of them starts complaining that the battery is low, the other one’s still good. If one of them goes dead while I’m on vacation, the other one’s good.
Not to mention that you can unlock the door from your phone in case somebody comes over unexpectedly, or if you have a friend coming in from out of town and you’re going to be at work when they arrive, you can create a code for them to unlock your front door and come in while you’re not even there.
Plus they still have key locks that I can use if the batteries are completely dead and they can be powered by a 9 volt battery in case I don’t have the key with me.
They’re freaking awesome and I am glad they exist.

I had some success using nginx reverse proxy with let’s encrypt.
There should be a couple of guides online that will tell you how to do that.
I was running Nginx through Portainer on Proxmox, and the Let’s Encrypt certificate was set to my local IP address for nginx.

I would love to meet a girl who could fix 18650s with their sphincter.
I have a giant box of dead 18650s.
For me, a more accurate analogy would be, why do I spend all of my time and money fixing up a 40 year old Jeep when I could take an Uber?

I was offered it from a vape pen once, and I gave it a try, and the only thing I really noticed was that two-dimensional images looked three-dimensional, and I felt really warm, and as it faded, it kind of felt like a rush of heat went through my bladder, which made me feel like I needed to pee.
It was interesting, it was over in like three minutes, but I probably wouldn’t do it again unless I was actually going for psychological benefits.
Oh, I just remembered there was one other side effect, which is weird, as like somehow after doing that, I immediately knew I could write with my right hand almost as well as I could with my left hand, and I tried it, and I could, even though it was still weird and awkward, like I was doing difficult math problems in college again.
I feel like if I kept it up I could become fully ambidextrous now.

I always thought that decimation meant reducing the population to 10% of its original number.
I was wrong, but that’s what I thought.
Hopefully it came across as good-natured ribbing and not me being an asshole.
