No issues upgrading from 12.1.

With this content, I’d leave the ads running. They are reminding people of his broken promises.

* With gene therapy.
It’s this setting: https://github.com/aosp-mirror/platform_frameworks_base/blob/1cdfff555f4a21f71ccc978290e2e212e2f8b168/packages/SettingsProvider/src/android/provider/settings/backup/SecureSettings.java#L68. You can trace it in the source code. The general name is Reduce Bright Colors. Check Graphene’s src for that. Woulda linked Google’s AOSP web page but it’s giving me 503 because that’s how Google do these days.

Kinda what prompted me to think about this. I started seeing some too good phishing emails recently.

Good point. It’ll have to have no access to the internet or anything local outside of its container. Just text in, text out.

I don’t think TB for Android can survive this. TB for PC works. It’s able to deal with all my email dating back to 2006.
I feel icky every time I visit.

Thanks for the heads up. This would have been a nasty surprise followed by unknown duration of hair pulling.

If a web site dies because a dc got torched, that’s bad redundancy architecture and DR plan. 😄 I’m considering transferring some domains to AliBaba Cloud. I don’t think any bombs or arson would be befalling those dcs anytime soon.

Another vote for Immich. Running it with docker compose is trivial. Been using it for 2 years now and it’s been glorious. Running it without docker would take more setup, not sure how complex.

Really feels like it. Look at the paragraphs and the list here.

Omacom Foundation launches with $18.5 million
It’s time to dream big. Omarchy Quattro has given people a chance to experience what the malleable computer of the future looks like, and they like it (a lot!). It now feels like a moral obligation to make this future more broadly available and fundamentally change how people relate to their computers for the first time in what seems like forever.
To do just that, I’m incorporating the Omacom Foundation to ensure that this mission is fully funded, durable, and ready to accelerate.
This nonprofit foundation will hold the trademarks, fund the infrastructure, promote the work, and support the open-source projects and developers Omarchy depends on.
These twelve Founding Patrons are each contributing $1 million to this mission:
- Tobi Lütke, CEO of Shopify
- Patrick Collison, CEO of Stripe
- Michael Dell, Chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies
- Jack Dorsey, Block Head and Chairman of Block
- Matthew Prince, CEO of Cloudflare
- Brendan Iribe, Cofounder of Sesame and Oculus
- Jason Fried, CEO of 37signals
- Drew Houston, cofounder and co-CEO of Dropbox
- Peter Steinberger, creator of OpenClaw
- Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase
- Yunjie Dai, cofounder of TapTap
- Yours truly
These Founding Corporate Patrons are each contributing $1 million a year for three years or $1.5 million in tokens, with renewal by mutual agreement:
- DigitalOcean
- Meta Superintelligence Labs

That’ll be expensive so I don’t think it’ll be happening. They’ll be OK with collecting data from the 95% of their customers who don’t know how to block the TV from having internet access.

Good to know. I will make sure not to update as mine isn’t doing it yet.

Just conceptually, agents pull data from the web via search engines. There isn’t currently a mechanism that makes one piece of information on the web trusted while another is untrusted. There’s new websites popping up that put up technical information every day. It’s pretty easy to imagine an agent getting code from a well optimized site that injects a backdoor in whatever the agent is building. Even before code hits any repo, the agents regularly execute stuff from the web while they figure out what to put down.
As is tradition.
