Non-local ai server! Just the opposite of what you didn’t want /s but fr. ai horde, idk. Else, some other number cruncher… Not crypto. How about those science distributed calcs? There was one for biology, proteinfold

Nuru? They renamed postmarketOS just a few days ago, can’t remember how’s called now. But it’s compatible with non-flagship devices. Else you’re into other OSes that are trying to be competitive in this ecocidal market ;•\

Cool! A browser extension or userscript to send GPX from other platforms into our deployment would be huge!
set the server as git remote and push there directly. set hooks to deploy. I do that for a static site. Is my little iac solution. Search for alternatives to “infrastructure as code”. It can go from simple dockerfile to swarms or kubernetes…

Idk, have you tried annas archive? Or fmhy?

Tiling windows managers? I had a glorious i3 config once, and not long ago installed regolith on the ubuntu machine at work. Soon, on my laptop, I will try Noctalia with either Umbria or Niri.

rpm-ostree distros laughing so hard

Technically you would also want to encrypt your RAM. But that’s depending on your threat model.

Oh yeah I meant to say that some sciences have origins that predate empiricism itself. Astronomy for example. Also, some may argue that not all sciences are rooted on evidence in the same way (e.g. positivism would call psychoanalysis a pseudoscience even though there’re powerful conclusions that were drown without evidence and have helped people).
Actually, all hypothesis start with a certain lack of evidence. Some hold for their own value, as potential explanations… Yes, O am not talking about maths anymore but about all sciences. For example many subatomic particles that are investigated by CERN. That’s why I believe your approach was shortsighted.

Can we really separate maths and physics? I don’t think so. Also, is empiricism the appropriate way to define sciences? Isn’t that a modern shortsightedness??

Sounds great. Who’s stefano? Since I don’t know them and the source code is not published yet I am uncertain about this.
And can you explain what’s the lighthouses method to bypass NAT? Never heard of it. Seems like the model for this app is p2p-like more than “strict self-host” (similar to scuttlebutt and other projects), am I right?

iiuc you want to add pulseaudio client to pipewire. Regardless of that, it’s worth checking jamesdsp too.

I am precisely doing that since my xiaomi drowned last month. Got myself a spare/ secondary phone that happens to be my primary at the moment. It has another feature I wanted to try: an eink screen, black and white, easy on my eyes (model: bigme hibreak).
I am happy with my decision :) it’s like a digital detox in its own way… Most of my app consumption was text > sound >> video, and the latter doesn’t look bad at all anyway, so… here we are. Only some content received via Whatsapp but I use the web version at my pc most of the day (e.g. videos of my family or photos from friends)
“[device] can run [custom os] with ease” dixit. I agree with what you refer to, as main phone it might be uncomfortable. But I did answer what OP asked…
