  • Where do you find websites that takes 5-10 seconds for you to load on Firefox?
Neither of the news sites, forums or self-hosted webuis I use take close to that. Even when I set disable caching and reload something heavy like the steam storepage I can’t get the browser to take 5 seconds to load it in.

How do you feel about being a part of giving Google control over the whole browser ecosystem by using a Chromium based browser?

  • Completely depends on where you are too, my NAS uses ~30W, which means ~22kWh in 30 days, which translated into local electricity costs are 53SEK or $5.39.
It has enough CPU (Intel Celeron J4125) to run my production loads, RAID1 16TB drives and 18GB RAM so it successfully hosts DNS, DHCP, Jellyfin, Vikunja and network shares. And I get the knowledge that it is all local and under my control.
