To be honest, I think these things will be abandoned very quickly. Therefore I don’t think that there will be any competition to the “flagship” FOSS projects anytime soon. However, in the proprietary world, it’s money above all else, and I think that we’re going to see the quality of proprietary software degrade very quickly. Because why pay engineers to do work if you can have a text generator that does it cheaper and gets there 80% of the way, and then just release it.

Even though I run GrapheneOS, I do not use ANY apps from GooglePlay, only from F-Droid, either it installs through F-Droid or it does not get installed at all. Fick Google and the cancer that’s on GooglePlay.

It’s called installing apps, not “sideloading”. Installing your programmes into a device you own is normal, being blocked from doing that is abnormal.

IMHO: They talk about having it go through the exact same due diligence as normal contribs and a human has to be responsible. I think it’s an acceptable compromise.

I don’t get why the rust cult mist always convert something from C to rust. Why not just make new software in rust and leave the stuff that works alone?

Hot Take: IMO, using generated code is fine, if it goes through the exact same due diligance as normal code. (unit tests, is the algo optimised, etc.)
I thought that only Nvidia is doing this. There goes my hope for a fully free PC. :(
