I can totally see sites wanting to identify sellers.
Scams would be way too easy and common without it.

Yes! To stop the terrorist children!
Exactly. He doesn’t actually care about protecting pedos. He just cares about protecting himself.
To protect the children
Even when presented with a Swiss Warrent signed by a Swiss judge, and failure to comply would mean Proton is breaking Swiss law?
Yah, no

Search for Permission Manager
You get a list of permissions, and can check apps that are approved or not.
In each permission list the 3dots icon in the upper right will toggle system apps visible or not.

Yah I thought SCOTUS ok’d that within 100 miles of a boarder.

I appreciate my Google Play Music All Access introductory subscription more and more every year. Still $7.99

I’m speculating. Those are possible ways they could get it. Likely more I haven’t thought of.
I’m not making accusations. I’m putting together things based on what they said in the post. Just trying to make sense of it.
I’m not a researcher, investigator, or reporter.
I’m just a random Steve online. Feel free to ignore me

That’s always the case with any policy enforcement. By raising the difficulty, the problem becomes smaller. You have to accept it’ll never be eliminated.
Truly good scammers, even the victim won’t know they’ve been scammed. I was once sold a counterfeit memory card for my digital camera. I only noticed because the data rate was half what it should’ve been. Lots of people might not ever notice.
