Only cheap ass locks use unprotected NFC/RFID. Like your debit card also uses NFC. Can you clone a debit card or make a payment with a spoofer app? no you can’t. Just because it’s NFC doesn’t mean you can just spoof it with a Flipper Zero. If the NFC is protected with cryptographic authentication than that is impossible.
I have a Nuki lock that lasts 8 months on 4 AA rechargeable batteries it also has a door sensor sending info via MQTT over Thread. Your lock probably has to overcome a lot of friction so the motor uses more juice than normal.
