I’m sick and tired of the Capitalist religion and all their fanatic believers. The Western right-wing/‘liberal’ population are the most propagandised and harmful people on Earth.

Currently they all repeat the same nonsense about world affairs, and none of them have actually sat down and researched what is going on, and why their leaders/media are lying to them. Ex. here is what really happened in and around the Ukraine project: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6-hcqTF_eSc6PIdk3QIwtoxtTK1wr30y

Stop supporting the Epstein Class by giving in to their lies about other nations !

Yes baby ! What a great page. Thank you, to this Brennan dude(tte) for creating it, and quick apolls to others for me primitively raging against every sign of this nazi/fascist club/product, and the whole nazi/fascist enshittification/normalization of ‘open source’.

One nasty surprise in secondary list: ‘suckless’ - oh well, can’t win them all :-(

Let’s post this great page as a standard reply to all posts/mentions of omacom/omarchy going forward, so all those not knowing, can be warned about what it really is !

[ait] (warning - AI topic tag) Dear anti-ai, if you can muster it, then please lower defences slightly for just a sec: It’s really time and energy consuming to follow and document this yucky movement as they are now heavily funded and work/move constantly 24/7. Brennan is a super cool Human, but can’t work on this always, all the time. We might need an active agentic system that also work constantly 24/7 to track the whole fascist/nazi network, all its players, update the lists and make it easier for ordinary good peeps to reject and boycott it all. Supervised by a human oc.

Actually, op’s prior thread was fair and perfectly legit, but met with dimwitted attacks that should piss off any sane and curios citizen scientist. He was met with the same ‘scientism’ as seen here, while there was no animosity in his original opening discussion.

Too many people here think they are scientist for dogmatically defending consensus issues they don’t understand/haven’t looked critically at - in a ‘Prof. Dave-like Scientism’ aggression against anything not confirming consensus. That is a terrible way to do and discuss science, and they are literally holding back science instead of helping it along. OP’s annoyance are completely valid, albeit surprising if peeps were not there in the original…

‘because the people responding don’t even understand what I am talking about.’

I had to re-read your comments and run it through AI to map it to how I personally understand the universe. I can see the dissonance of current SR interpretation claiming no global ‘now’, and the ‘instant’ outcome of the observer thought experiment requiring such a global now, as you describe them further up. I unfortunately can’t do Math at a sufficient level, and still have too many knowledge gaps - missing studies/results/theories etc - to form a coherent reply to your dissonance.

Tbh any of the 4 options - 1 + 3 alternatives - are all a bit wacky to me, but QM seems hard to escape from.

In my private (non-proved/non-consensus) model of the structure of the universe, I have invented a fluid-dynamics planck substrate that all fields are derived from, and that certainly have a global clock - a ‘now’, whereas all local systems (higher complexity/states) in that ‘bohmian-like lattice/soup’ have a derived slower speed - a local reality. However, the AI thinks my ideas fall somewhere in the slick/weaselly ‘philosophical’ group as I cant prove any of it, and thus just allow the apparent inconsistency to exist as is by assuming a global clock and just adding noise. Not good, but hey, it’s a work in progress… ;-)

Anyway, I suspect that you use AI to discuss ideas/theories, and the only issue it had with the selection of comments I gave it + my own thoughts, was that your Fraushiger/Renning interpretation might be too strong in the direction of a direct conflict with SR, but I suspect you have already discussed and re-thought that a few times, so just thought I’d mention it anyway.

Thanks for starting the discussion, forcing an exploration, and hence expanding my knowledge on the topic !

    “believe” and “faith”

…absolutely also exist within the scientific space. For instance, I believe that 1+1=2, and I have faith that someone else have proved it - I believe those things as absolute facts, but I actually don’t know for sure - not even if all my senses tells me so. Also, all theories and ideas start out as nothing but a flimsy belief, an itch, a set of assumptions about stuff, a base of ‘personal truth’, so these words are absolutely part of this space, and one shouldn’t be called out if they have another interpretation of existing evidence/consensus. You have just been caught up in the public Merican ‘Science vs crazy God-fearer’ fight, gotten annoyed, and have lost the original querying nature of scientific exploration. All big discoveries have broken prior ‘facts’…

Don’t be the ‘Prof. Dave’ of a science forum… There is no God-w.shippers here right now, so relax man… smoke a huge joint and start doubting a little…

Going against the consensus position requires greater proof.

It doesn’t require much proof to have doubts or to start a discussion about it, and the only real merit an opening idea must have, is if it is an interesting one ! This IS interesting, and there clearly ARE an internal discrepancy - whether OP misunderstands or its real. OP is NOT alone in this doubt. Sagan’s “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence” is imho just scientific lazyness, and not good for Scientific discussions/exploration. We are not trying to decide on emergency ‘life or dead’ situations here, so ANY idea should be allowed, and discussed on its own merit.

But that are just my opinion oc…

I can’t cognitively follow your level of thinking on this, so I’ll refrain. But I see more and more thinkers getting frustrated by current inconsistencies in almost all fields of Science, and the ‘Scientism’ put out - as seen in the reactions here doesn’t help science at all. It’s like most science passionate people are still believing that they defend science against some religious cult, and therefore have double down on what is current weak consensus with a lot of inconsistencies. People are unwittingly slowing down scientific exploration to safeguard their own locked down beliefs.

I follow a few unconventional thinkers like Unzicker, M Levin and similar ‘rebel’ thinkers in many different fields, and while I can’t vouch for any particular direction of thought, write a critical paper or define what’s wrong with the current state of Science, I can see that current consensus and science/knowledge eco-systems are weak as fuck - all over the place, with weak assumptions, ignored inconsistencies, monetary interests, and a very rigid dogmatism in certain ‘fundamentals’ / consensus science. Fields are not really moving forward as they could’ve.

Sociology, psychology, economics and such fields are btw much much worse, and completely crammed with ideological thinking/consensus - just saying.

New and better science won’t come from those that follow mainstream consensus like religious dogmas, but from those that can see the weak spots and break out of that consensus-structure. Too bad you couldn’t find a descent level of intellectual exploration/discussions here :-(

Take your down-votes as a badge of honor !

  • As long as the universe is evolving through cause&effect, ‘free’ will can’t exist. It doesn’t even matter if we imagine ‘random quantum wu’, or ‘Cosmic Consciousness’ we can’t control anyway, and would still influence ‘our’ choices by causality anyway. None of these studies remove causality from physics, and they profoundly AND childishly miss what the ‘free will’ debate is all about. We are organisms that evolved in an environment, all our genes are accumulated environment, and so environment is what triggers all behaviour in the end. Nature/nurture is all about environment…

The ‘free will’ question is shortly: ‘could you have done otherwise’, and no, you cant dismiss or change causality and invent a new fundamental universal ‘free will’ force that you can suddenly invoke with zero causality or energy costs, coming from nowhere at all - but still magically ‘controlled’ by you. You are an cosmic billiard ball - we all are, and we owe it to each other to create the environment that triggers the best in us - not fighting and blaming like cavemen would.

‘Being aware of what we are about to do’ follows exactly from causality as much as everything else in the universe. The Title of the study alone shows they didn’t grasp the problem at all. The only way to not be a part of causality is to remove your self from this universe. Good luck ideological/religious believers.

Religious thinking people like theist and Capitalists NEED ‘free will’ to defend all the harmful outcomes of their archaic beliefsystem, to be able to point to someone and say “My belief-system is not evil, and you the individual could just have done X - so you must be evil/lazy, and deserves to be punished/homeless” etc. They simply disregard causality/reality to protect their belief system and to hate/harm others that threaten that belief. They have been coping for as long as intelligent people have pointed out the obvious problem…

So, these studies never calculate the enormous amount of atrocities - throughout our entire evolution - caused by dumb humans believing all actions came from the individual. Revenge? check!, de-humanisation? Check! Jailing/killing ? Check ! Leaving ‘lazy’ people on the street bc they ‘could just have done X’? check ! Worshipping lucky/psychopathic ass-wipes that are in power ? check ! Religious shaming/punishment ? check ! You-name-the-atrocity ? check ! Always the same… Oh, and they never look at what belief-systems are mostly dependent on the belief…

The nonsense non-scientific belief in magical ‘free will’ is easily the most harmful belief humanity have ever had - and fair enough, also easily the hardest to recognise and dismiss until we have thought it through without emotions and archaic theistic/non-theistic belief-systems in mind…

But hey, there are always some right-wing ideologues (=anti-science belief-system), that are willing to pay for ‘proof’ of personal/individual responsibility instead of the responsibility of the environment, the culture, and their particular belief-systems, the ideology currently represented by eternal economic war - free unfair fight for your life against everyone else, forever.

These ridiculous coping studies will always show up and always misrepresent the issue. They have for many many years, and they never prove anything other than, that the archaic ‘individualist’ Capitalist and theistic belief-system still exists, and that they keep misunderstanding/misrepresenting the issue.

Don’t mind the anti-ai votes - people are frustrated af. Your p2p sharing mindset are great, thank you !

A few ideas from the top of my head: Git service ?: Radicle is a p2p distributed Git service. You can seed your fave projects.

Deeper search ?: Yacy is a mature/advanced distributed p2p search engine, but I don’t know how it compares to mwmble.

[AIT] (AI topic, tag rule for this sub) Inference service ?: AIhorde is a distributed p2p inference network where you can help out with a smaller machine/model and draw on the network when you need large models. Works with pics/txt. Not sure how its going though.

…Oh, and perhaps skip Claude - Anthropic et al. are Fscist Ucks, and for 90% of your projects, you get 90% the same quality for 90% reduced price elsewhere (claimed on a ‘trust me bro’ basis ;-) ). aihorde sounds like something for you and its self-hosted.

  • Damn, are we watching live growth of digital Fascist cancer here ? We all get spammed with this worthless, non-special OS in every information outlet, YT, SN’s and other for-profit junk outlets. People are getting paid to keep posting about it everywhere.

Pretty disgusting to see how rich Pschos think and act, and pretty disheartening to see our ‘non-enshittified’ world be enshittified in front of our eyes! Enshittification = Capitalization.

Boycott Omarchy by all means necessary, and help not spreading this Capitalist/Fascist cancer project anywhere.

  • USB is not good as its a huge bottleneck, and most external accelerators are (was?) passive without any ram onboard. Google Coral was/is ‘passive’ in that it resends all data all the time over the interface - Npu<->system ram.

I were going to recommend these: https://shop.geniatech.com/product/m2-ai-inference-acceleration-module/

40tops, ARM + Npu + 16gb ddr4 - a whole little Inference computer on a NVME interface. Kinara (Ara240) is a homegrown Chinese chip. While they are usually selling b2b, you can ask anyway. YMMW atmo. Also note that some NPU’s are less efficient at llm’s vs vision.

…but I see that they also rose almost 4* in price since I asked for, and were offered the price of 179$ ~7M ago, which is already a long time in this space. Not sure how the current ~650$ stacks up to the rest of the offers out there at the moment, but these small active AI systems on NVME are a great way of upgrading a piss-old server, enhance a new cheap 4-8port NVME mini-NAS or similar, and there’s no clear bottleneck in the interface.

Look for something like this instead of Nvidia Coral and other ‘passive’ sticks, that are all - imho - overpriced/underperforming.

  • trust me enough to come to the right conclusion on my own.

The whole western information sphere, and most people are already mind-colonized, by attitudes like this. Any uncertainty in facts is claimed as ‘Conspiracy thinking’ and boxed in with stories of Aliens and shit - just to make it embarrassing to believe in. It’s a real playbook from the elite.

The US elites are constantly manipulating what ‘facts’ is, and muddles/hides all evidence. They can prosper for centuries behind this ‘Hard facts only’ mental shield, where all the lesser deductive and abductive facts are being downplayed/ridiculed and ignored.

It IS a badge of honor not to have succumbed to US elites constant propaganda narrative, and as long as they DO seek the facts - as all real journalism should - I think it is quite okay to try and correlate all the other types of facts (inductive, deductive and abductive facts) into a coherent and likely picture that connects the dots and show everyone how this current mess came about and works.

Let critical investigative journalism explore and try to connect ALL the dots - as they are supposed to.

  • “You do need to own a copy of the game to play it with OpenTS”

Arg!! I love these passionate re-imaginations, remakes and whatnot of old games, but they are already developing with AI, so why are they not generating a new asset resource that replaces all the original proprietary stuff!

Anyway, I hope we soon get complete asset replacement for ALL the old games Diablo, C&C, Baldurs gate and hundreds of other old classics that all have an open engine that still relies on shtty original copies of proprietary assets. Nobody cares about these corporate parasites anyway, so f’em…
