I like to sort, crop, add comments etc beforehand, I also prefer to separate the wheat from the chaff for upload to Immich rather than uploading everything carte blanche.
As someone else mentioned it’s a good idea to set up your Immich template at the beginning if folder organisation is important to you

2·2 months agoYeah I had those same concerns too, it’s why I mentioned the import/export being interchangeable with Yamtrack.

2·2 months agoJust last weekend I fired up Floppy a fork of Yamtrack. The settings include a guide to set up webhook integration with Jellyfin which works great.
Wasn’t sure which of the two to go for but Floppy looks to have more features & in case of issues it seems backup/restore is interchangeable between Floppy & Yamtrack.
Works really well for my needs.
I still feel like I’m living in the future using Paperless though I feel I must use it differently to everyone else as i haven’t felt the need to automate everything as it doesn’t always tag things to match my own specific tagging system.
For those that do automate everything, how do you overcome naming of documents? I want the scanned documents to have human readable names rather than the naming format of my scanner (or phone on occasion) or the naming format of XYZ company emailing me a document because in a catastrophe situation I want to be able to easily find & retreive vital/important .pdf docs from a backup rather than having to think about replacing equipment to set up Paperless again (in my instance aside from nightly Kopia snapshot backups I also export Paperless backups on device plus a secondary backup is automatically moved to a separate drive on my network & a third copy is encrypted & stored off site).
I have 2 x Flint 2, the second one is in “extender” mode for better coverage in our house. I’ve found it to be a great router.
I’ve tried to figure out setting up VLAN on the Flint 2 but as yet I’ve failed. I’ll try again at some point.
Flint 4 will support VLAN out of the box though I’m waiting to see more about OpenWRT implementation on it.
