What?? Thats crazy, i didnt provide any of that making my account, just my social security number.

Im mostly on Lemmy cause i can get news on whats going on in the US cause our media is trying really hard at censorship.

Im not gonna do all that extra work to prove any legitimacy, thats not my problem. I havent been on here for long, but the negativity is not needed and it makes it hard to recommend this place.

Because cash is not trackable(depending on where its going) . Our government wants to track our currency, even the digital ones like Bitcoin.

The only places we have that accepts cash still are anything retail/resturants or your paying for parking fees at State Parks or certain locations where you access hiking trails. Everything else is card or using Google/Apple Wallet.

Thats all im literally doing. Im posting about my experience and wanting to encourage conversation.

Nothing in what im saying is paid advertising and im also getting familiar with the degoogled space so im just saying what works and what dosent.

This is an example of people not just fucking reading and im tired of that shit. It dosent encourage discussion, just resentment and avoidance in even wanting to post. We got bigger problems in Lemmy but people pick and choice what to be annoyed about.

Im not doing a fucking ad, what the hell am I saying sounds like an ad? Everything im giving is what im learning, my opinion and how much I like the card. Thats literally it. Im not promoting anything and im not the only one in the privacy thread that talks in this manner. People are talking about products all the time here. What makes this shit any different?

I could do that, but its still tied to my bank account if i use the same bank, unless i use a different bank. I got really interested in Wise cause on how easy it is to move and hold foreign currency. You got your risk of that other account be tampered with too. Im still learning on what to use since I dont want to carry my main debit card.

Im sorry, I didnt mean to make it sound directed towards you.

Im just annoyed cause everything is an annoyance to alot on Lemmy but some be talking about the craziest shit on here. Its hard to make any post on here.

Omg… freaking heaven forbid i mention it as an opinion. You people in this community are extremely sensitve. 😑😑

I dont understand it either. I sometimes honestly dont get this community, im not posting anything crazy. Im putting this out there cause for US card holders, besides Privacy.com, we dont have other options for buffer cards.

Wise is a legit company and they have been in business since 2011 and i put this under the PRIVACY community for a reason. Or maybe its because i talked about Privacy.com in a bad light. Theyre under fire because theyre completely changing their privacy policies and want to hold data they shouldnt be holding.

I think thats there for transparency. They want to make sure your accounts are legit, which i honestly dont mind.

It does. Ive been looking for something like this for a while cause the rise of AI is making me paranoid of carrying my debit card.

Yes, but (someone actually mentioned it) it acts as a buffer to my debit card. Im using it also cause im about to start traveling alot, its cheaper to hold different curriencs and easier to carry it instead of carrying a buttload of cash and looking hella suspecious.

This is what im getting from Tracker Control. For Tuta its blocked, for Droidify theres like 4 trackers allowed (i dont know if blocking them would mess with the function of the app). And 2 for PipePipe cause it is using a google app. Above PipePipe is Blorp, it has three, 2 from Google and one from Fastly.

And for tracker control, the ads that are allowed to go through, if i block them some of these apps would straight up break and not work.

Im gonna be honest, i cant stand going on Github. Its difficult to read anything on there, since im not in that space to understand that language.

Yes, i know. My tired ass was talking about the radio (the one you listen to music and the news) and mobile data.

Man, well its definietly been on a journey.

I did read your comment and i mention the vpn cause i thought you were talking about untrusted celluar signals, not due to being able to just having the ability to connect to them.

And like i said, in the last sentence, i have already checked. It is compatible.

Im going to be using Delta chat for my phone calls and texts, which dosent use a phone number and its not tied to a carrier. Im not going to be using a phone number unless its for emergenices. (Ill be getting a temporary number when buying a physical sim card).

The radio and the band compatibility (2G/3G/4G) has nothing to do with each other, they use two completely different sets of frequencies. I have also checked and this phone would 100% work to where im going when getting an international sim card.
