Don’t quote me on this since I haven’t done it, but IIRC that’s something that you can only do during a fresh install

Can confirm it’s a great stack! We run it at my work and its quite nice to work with. I’ve been thinking of replacing Prometheus in my homelab with Alloy
I use Prometheus with various exporters pushed to Grafana which I have displayed on a small screen running on a ROCK Pi in my office

I’m actually in basically the exact same situation but trying to stick to Tidal, if only just because I can’t go back to not having AI slop songs automatically hidden but I do notice how much better the recommendations are on Spotify whenever I open it again

Roko’s basilisk was just an AI corporation the entire time I guess

Man I’m so interested in the whole Nix/NixOS ecosystem but it makes me feel new to Linux again even though I’ve been using it daily for over a decade
edit: in a “I have no idea what I’m doing” kind of way
Clearly a distro that needs $8m $12m USD in funding from a seemingly random group of tech companies. I have no reason at all to question the investments into it from companies like Dell, Stripe, Shopify, CoinBase or any others. I mean their business clearly relies on this packaged up copy of a mediocre /r/unixporn post so why wouldn’t they dump money into it?

Oh I was wondering why Aurora had stopped working
I’m in the exact same boat as I also switched to helix haha
The creator and maintainer of NeoVim was also really against removing a DHH endorsement from the NeoVim website and called it cancel culture.

Did you read what I wrote that you think I’m talking about the marketing note for LibreOffice 26.8?
maybe

Are you really saying we should now go out of our way to not sound like AI? That sounds fucking exhausting. Not to mention the fact that AI marketing speak is "trained* on marketing speak so of course the marketing speak release note is going to sound like AI marketing speak

And how do you keep noise/heat down?
I keep it all down in my unfinished basement away from everything 😅
But for real, I got a used fully enclosed server rack for pretty cheap ($300 CADish) from a company who was moving entirely to the cloud and that thing can keep a lot of noise contained. I have three servers and a chunky network switch so its all pretty loud but when I close the rack’s door it reduces the volume by at least 50%. If its open I’m easily able to hear it from my ground floor but not otherwise
Note that nearly everyone would benefit from this, as the reduced expense of necessities would offset the extra paid in taxes, and most households would end up ahead
Reminiscent of the carbon tax rebate here in Canada which I still miss but people are absolute morons
Fair point! In this case, I sold it to my brother who got through a fair bit of university with it so it did help a lot of people.
I get sentimental about tech that I used for a while though so I kind of hoard it all now that I don’t need to sell the device to replace it
A T440p running Antergos got me through college. I regret selling it since that thing served me well 🫡

When the article is posted on a global social network, yeah, you can add a note to the title of the post? People from any other country that’s not the USA have figured this out already but it’s always Americans that just assume everyone else is also American

If there’s ever doubt, the answer is nearly always the option where it’s an American assuming everyone else is American

Very very beta still from my testing but I’m excited to see where it goes. I’m not aware of any other browsers that have forked off of modern* WebKit/Safari and the more diversity, the better.
*I know that the Blink engine was originally a fork of WebKit
You actually can use Ethernet on phones as long as you have a USBC to RJ45 adapter!
