Yeah, it’s a big talking point, but it doesn’t make it any less weird. It’s not his job or his responsibility, and the biggest problem is like you said - He’s SEEN as wielding equivalent power. He’s doing a good job as mayor because he’s NOT trying to appeal to the rest of the state and is focusing on directly improving the lives of the people in NYC, as it should be.

Otherwise, why stop the polling at the state level? Why not poll all of New England? Why not poll Canada? They’re just as close by and have the exact same level of influence over and from him.

“Struggles with state” is such a weird talking point. He’s a mayor, not a state rep.
