My key2 has a bad:
- usb port
- modem
- speaker
It just wants to go… I must let it… But only when i have a new keyboard phone

Right now, no:
Minimal Phone 2 will now launch with five physical keyboard layouts:
- QWERTY — English
- AZERTY — Français
- QWERTZ — Deutsch
- Dubeolsik — 한국어
- Arabic — العربية
The blackberry key2, 8 years old can finally run lineage now in 2026… I am typing from this phone…
Then there waas nothing till unihertz came around and is locked.
And now we do have the clicks communicator which is more the influencer type and will be unlockable upon request and this.
But i hope you find a non smart phone… Is android go an option? A phone so slow it cant do stuff?
It comes with googly as default, but they provide a custom rom without google.
The advantage is:
Its finally a phone with a keyboard.
1·2 months agoYeah maybe i switch over to the minimal.
The niagara launcher is great, i am using that on my key2 too. But the thing is with commands… Thats great, that is something niagara sure will have soon too.
I am happy that there are now too phones. But in my opinion the clicks team is more influencer and design team and although its a great design i am not happy with their initial wording as a second phone…

It really comes a little bit down to:
Do you want a influencer secondary phone, or a more tech oriented minimalistic phone.
And i believe both phones will be good. One difference is also, the clicks has qi2 and the minimal has qi1. I am used to the fingerprint sensor on the spacebar and a led light, but that doesnt mean that the clicks phone is the wrong approach.
The thing, that gets me with the minimal is just: its your device, of course its unlocked bootloader.
And clicks: the bootloader will be unlockable if you contact the manufacturer.
As i am doing almost everything with my keyboard, the minimal is the better use, the commands is great feature, which will hopefully just add entrys not just google calender but also in something like fossify calendar…
I think i will refund my clicks order and get the minimal, even if its 100dollar more expensive.
Well they are both nice. Naja the clicks has more marketing and blin blin attitude, the minimal phone more a techy, minimal approach.
The one has a bigger battery, the other one has “android minimal” whatever that is…
Its difficult, that is why i am coming here :)

I just love to type on an hardware keyboard phone. I tried a normal phone for about two years and it was absolut horror
My phone is 8 years old. I really need a new one, but i also need a keyboard…
