I really did not want to go back and troubleshoot any fuckups, so I took my time and double/triple checked everything, and was still able to finish it in one day. Instructions were super clear and well written. They even give you a bag of gummie bears and tell you when to eat them in the directions. 10/10.
I picked up a Core One+ kit a few month ago (no INDX yet) and I’m loving it. Super sturdy machine, great support, open source (more or less), super serviceable , great prints.

I don’t “like” any of them, but I rescued an HP color LaserJet MFP from recycling and it hasn’t given me any shit. LaserJet is the way to go if you dont print often. Ink always clogged up on me, despite running the head cleaner (which was also wasteful)
SmartTube for your nvidia shield. You’ll need ‘Downloader’ to get it. Also check out Project Ivy for the shield if you want a better UI

Ive not seen anyone try that before, but interesting idea! I do think you would probably be better served by an enclosure, however. I’m sure some thermal energy is lost from the underside, but I’d guess you’re losing more above the bed as heat rises. An enclosure would also allow you to print some more finnicky filaments that are sensitive to temperature changes during printing.
