On the spectrum of convenience vs privacy I think this is closest to the sweet spot on the side of convenience. Use a commercial “monitor” (TV that doesn’t require smart features to work). The closest to the middle on the side of privacy is setting a PC up with your TV logged in to all your streaming services.

Do you run your own commands or use a program? I recently started using Windows Shut Up! and Winhance and that appears to be a good one two combo for mostly stripping bloat and blocking telemetry.

Guns and ammunition
Physical media and ways of accessing it (usb disc drive for example)
Older laptops and vehicles if you’re in the market

Zennioptical has a coating that messes up facial recognition and I thought this would be along the lines of that. Womp womp. Would like to see those coatings become more popular. Also agree with other commenters that some sort of active countermeasure would be interesting, idk what though.
Why OpenOffice instead of LibreOffice?
Appreciate your post, nice to see people having level takes for something. I normally go through all my browser settings anyway during setup so a lot of the technical issues people were having I see as nonissue, UNLESS it gets added in during an update (where I wouldn’t notice) and is opt-out, not opt-in. It’s a good recommend for new users who aren’t super tech savvy and just need a plug and play.
