Far more of us than you realise, have never touched that shit to begin with. I have exactly 0 subscription services and the only apps I’ve ever paid for was to directly support independent developers (some of that’s been facilitated by google play, but even that’s been less and less over the years).
That was before we collectively said ‘fuck America’ and started actively seeking non-american solutions.

Na, he was the mouse. There was so much RGB, this is what he became.

Since The Star couldn’t be bothered to link the fucking thing: Here’s the petition.

I’ve been running two piholes for a few years:
I let the router handle dhcp, while having it hand out each of the piholes IPs as DNS #1 and DNS #2. Those piholes settings are mirrored using Nebula-Sync, so any change made to one pihole gets copied over to the other automatically.
Both of those piholes are setup to wrap outbound DNS reqests in DOH as well, with the router blocking port 53 outbound. So all DNS traffic leaving the network has to be DOH/DOT or it just gets dropped. Currently using NextDNS and quad9 as my upstream DOH providers.
Note: the cloudflared method for DOH is outdated. I’m still using it via the docker image “image: cloudflare/cloudflared:2025.11.1”
I believe This (dns-crypt) is the more recent method.

For a while, the windows machine I was using kept randomly becoming unresponsive (both via network, as well as the keyboard+mouse) and I just could not figure out why. Everytime it did, I’d have to force a shutdown by holding the power button until it shutoff, then press it again to start back up. Sometimes this happened while I wasn’t home, so it had to just stay offline until I was.
I got sick of having to do this; so I replaced the power button with a transistor and a RPI. The PI would ping the server every 5min; if it failed to get a response 3 times in a row, it would trigger the transistor for 10sec, release for 3sec, then press and release again; forcing a poweroff then starting the machine again. It’d also write these events to a log file. I think it was around twice a week ish.
Never did figure out what the cause of the lockup was; but it stopped when I replaced windows with Debian.

Summary judgement requires you to show you’ve successfully served the defendant and they’ve then refused/failed to appear in court.
If you can’t actually serve the defendant (usually required in-person), but can show you have made sufficient effort to do so; the judge can first grant alternative means of service, such as posting notice in public, or service via email.
Once that’s been done, and still the defendant fails to appear in court; then the plaintiff can submit a motion for summary judgement.
Youtube regularly makes changes that break third party apps/clients/frontends.
Give it a couple days, the devs will catch up and fix the issues/incompatibility.

‘Hey Mr.President sir, Can you sign this law that would let me sue you? Thanks.’
Good luck with that one. I like the thought, but yeah, not gonna happen. At least making them say no is a statement I guess.

I guess it automatically locallizes the price. Shows me 23.99CAD.
Doesn’t show me a captcha either.

I don’t see why not, and for $24 you may as well give it a go.

I run watchtower on a cron schedule. It had already fired for today, so it wouldn’t have run again until tomorrow. I could have waited, but manual is just as easy.

I do love docker + a front end like dockge.
Saw this post, switched to my browser, clicked three buttons; vaultwarden is now updated. Didn’t even move my lazy ass off the couch. (I’m on my phone)
Thanks for the PSA! :)

Get a grip?
On the fact that this administration has systematically gutted every government agency that’s designed to help the people in any way, while ransacking the Markets and Federal Reserve to enrich Trumps family and friends?
Or on the Trump administrations active crusade to destroy, rig, and completely control state run elections; or threaten, jail, and even murder anyone that opposes him?
Maybe you should get a grip on the fact that sitting behind a desk/podium, wagging your finger, and saying ‘I ordered you not to do that’ ISN’T FUCKING WORKING.
Your government is in shambles. It only continues to crumble, bit by bit, while the people stand by watching. The courts won’t save you.
Has he lost some court battles? Sure. But so much more has been done to bring your country to it’s knees, while these cases are slow walked through a system that simply cannot cope with the magnitude of corruption it’s enveloped in.
The people must act. It’s Americas last hope. The rest of the world is praying you’ll wake up to this reality before it’s too late.

Until the citizens revolt; nothing will improve.
There is no peaceful resolution.

You don’t.
Seprate your work life and your personal life.
There’s nothing wrong with advocating for FOSS alternatives; but you don’t get to decide what you can or cannot use on work devices, that’s up to your employer. You should not be entering personal info/performing personal tasks on work devices.
If you’re unwilling to perform work with the tools (software) your employer provides/requires, find a new job. Refusing to do the work or tampering with the equipment provided is a great way to get fired.
For school; personal laptop. Or again strictly school tasks on their devices.

Trump’s ‘really dumb’ obsession
That… Doesn’t narrow things down a whole lot…
It wouldn’t be news, if that pathological liar wasn’t in one of the most powerful positions on the planet.
