I thought about switching to Graphene a while back but asked a question about this in another thread. As tempting as it was, it seemed like the entire project hinged on Google updating AOSP. Stopping that to fuck over Graphene is exactly the type of piece of shit asshole behavior I would expect from Google.

Volkswagen should fix that shit for free. I can’t tell you how pissed off I’d be if some random OTA update bricked my car.
