They’ll publish anything these days. His “book” is just a shitty middle school level essay and by his age he ought to be ashamed to so confidently state such an opinion in those terms. This pathetic sophomore is meant to uphold the constitution, not some religious dogma.
What people will rightly take away from this deplorable example is that supreme court judges are nothing special. They’re not more moral, more intelligent, nor do they hold greater understanding of the constitution than anyone else who actually read the full document. And such a takeaway is called disgrace. His actions and existence damage the reputation of the court.
The only reason I wouldn’t want him to resign in shame (if he can experience shame) is that his successor will be appointed for loyalty to trump and not qualifications, which is definitely a side grade to the current state.
People get all pedantic about the exact legal definition of treason, forgetting that the word has a common understanding of betraying one’s country.

Democrats are so awful at setting objectives. I feel like they’re only committing to this because it’s DOA. Priority 1 in the event of a 2026 victory is shutting down the president and reining in presidential power. When that is done, purge government institutions of magats. Investigate and prosecute right wingers, especially the billionaires who sabotaged the United States and the president’s enablers in Congress and the supreme court.

They’re an attack on US domestic legal order too since the president doesn’t have the power to create taxes and the current supreme court already ruled against tariffs imposed previously by this president. The current US Congress is among the most useless in the country’s history at a time when the president is also the worst.
Exactly this. You can’t even get the budget under control until you lock up trump, his family, and his allies like musk, and enablers like the supreme court. Congress only writes the laws. Since when has trump obeyed the laws? Plug the leaks or the bucket will never fill.
