The Cray-1 team hopes to fill the currently empty second half of the tower through a crowdfunding campaign to secure 70–80 additional M4 Mac Minis. The goal: create a cluster capable of ranking on the TOP500 supercomputers list.
70-80 M4 Mac mini’s? In this economy? These go for around 1 thousand dollars each at the moment.
Username checks out.
One-to-one mirror for every drive might be excessive… just a 1 or two drive parity system should be fine for most home use cases.
You should have e a backup after all
Oh sorry, must have missed that part.
Source? Trust me bro?
Even your link says that it is not long time waste. Which does not make it zero, but magnitudes better compared to the “usual” waste
Yes. That’s why you don’t need as many chargers as you need gas stations.
Because you can’t fill your gas vehicle at home.
Nice domain!
Was it you that I have asked if you were the same Dark Alex from the PSP custom firmware scene?
Are you surprised? It was trumps idea.
For me that was literally the first unsponsored Amazon find for the term “router UPS”
ITT: people complaining about it being a flagship phone…
You mean like almost every phone in the current generation?
If apps are not aware of that, it is on them…
Search for “router UPS”
For example there is one from APC “# APC Back-UPS Connect 12V DC 36W - CP12036LI”
Sounds interesting, do you share the project progress somewhere?
+1 on the zfs replication. That’s what I use as well with a 3 node cluster. Gives redundancy and high availability without building a ceph cluster (which needs 4 nodes if I remember correctly)
Which ads? Is there an example?
Interesting.
Just one note: this is 2 days old, one contributer together with Claude. Make of that what you will.
