I’m saying that them taking joy in liberal tears is simply crappy, and it’s like the most important thing to them, so I don’t think liberals like me should just do the opposite and take joy in MAGA tears. The point isn’t to make them unhappy, it’s to save out country from the crap.

I’m actually against this. The MAGA folks have made a whole identity of being for anything that liberals are against - liberal tears make them happy. If for some bizarre reason, the MAGA base started being for, say, universal health care, I wouldn’t suddenly be for it. I’d be happy they were finally on the right side of something. I’m not going to fall into the trap of my position just being the opposite of theirs, regardless of what it is.

Yep, stayed on top of the vaccines

I got COVID pretty badly and for a month or two after I just felt like I had no gas in my tank - I’d try to vacuum the house, for example, and I couldn’t get through it in one go. I thought “Oh, this is that fatigue they’ve been talking about.” But then that sort of wore off and I no longer lacked the energy to do stuff like that, except I just couldn’t bring myself to do those things. I’d be sitting there thinking “I really need to vacuum,” but it was like an insurmountable hurdle to go to the closet and get the vacuum out. Once I did, I could do the house without issue.

One of my employees had COVID about the same time as me, and we were talking about it when we were both back. Damned if she didn’t start describing the same sort of psychological fatigue-like thing. I was dumbfounded.

It lasted like another couple months and slowly went away, but man it was a bitch.

Yes it’s a complete mystery. As the super wealthy get significantly more wealthy by squeezing every dollar out of everyone else, somehow they’re able to afford ridiculous extravagances, like enormous floating mansions that have the carbon footprint of a small town.
