You don’t get to blame some unvaccinated people and give others a pass. The virus literally doesn’t care. All parents that refuse to vaccinate children by choice are ignorant and recklessly endangering their children.
Also it’s not like unvaccinated folks are perfectly distributed within the general population. There are pockets with very low vaccination rates where these cases are happening.
Eh, trying to move the ball on the Amish (and Mennonites? Hutterites? Not sure how vaccine hesitant they are) is going to be rather difficult. And their numbers are rather small. As you point out, measles often clusters in communities like this, though.
Assuming these numbers are accurate, there are 96,500 Amish in PA. Out of 13 million in PA overall. That’s about .74%. Even if you got 100% of them to vaccinate, I think PA would still be below the threshold.
I’m not giving them a pass, I’m just being realistic. They’ve been the OG vaccine denialists. It’s not like idiots like Wakefield and Jenny McCarthy and RFK jr and donnie made them do this.
What we don’t need to is to add to their number by having complete bullshit pushed by our government and frauds like Wakefield onto the other 99.26%
I think that is accurate. They constitute so few in number. PA didn’t drop below herd immunity only because of them.
They are entirely to blame. There are about 100,000 Amish and they make up all the cases.

I honestly don’t care why they’re antivax, or for how long. Neither does the disease
